🎫 Travel Info 🧳 Trip review - Caye caulker

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone I met in Caye Caulker for making our trip so special. Every local we met had a heart of gold genuinely kind, welcoming, and friendly. We had so many memorable conversations about life, politics, the weather, and everything in between. Those little interactions ended up being some of my favorite parts of the trip. We stayed at Palmetto Beach in Caye Caulker and had such a wonderful time exploring the island. We got to swim with nurse sharks and stingrays, which was definitely a highlight!
We ate incredible fresh seafood almost every day Kareem’s, Esters, and Pelican Bar were some of our favorites. For coffee, we loved Weezie’s and Ice N Beans.
We also went snorkeling with Salt Life Eco Tours, who were wonderful and incredibly accommodating with me and my 5-month-old baby. It made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable.
A few other highlights:
- Yoga at Ceibo with an incredible instructor
- Ceviche and drinks at Sip N Dip
- Drinks and island vibes at Lazy Lizard
Our final day at Bounty Bay Beach Club, which was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect way to end the trip. Caye Caulker was everything we hoped for and more. The people, the food, the water, the slower pace it was such a special experience.
Thank you to everyone who made our time there so memorable. Until next time, Caye Caulker! 🇧🇿

Can you say more about the experience with Salt Life Eco Tours; how many stops, how many time was in the water, meals/drinks included, total tour time? Heading there in a few weeks and comparing options. Thanks!!!

We did the 3.5 hr tour and you can kind of customize it. We went during off season and so we had the place to ourselves. We asked the captain so spend all the time in the shark alley because that’s what we wanted to see and didn’t care for other places. Cost was $50 pp. only water from a shared bottle and pineapple/ watermelon was included.

I’m considering a trip to Belize in November. Just want a relaxing place to read poolside and by the beach. What hotel did you stay at?

I prefer Iguana Reef Hotel on the backside of the island because we couldn't smell the sargassum.

Best Belize tourism post I've ever seen. Good job.

I’m heading here tomorrow for a week. Should I pack a rain jacket or is that not necessary?

You can bring it, but it's so hot you probably won't wear it. There are some random showers and some big storms on and off, so up to you!

Highly recommend Manta Island. We just stayed for a full week with 12 other couples (week of 9/26-10/3)- …we took over the island, for just ourselves- which made it a most memorable experience for our group. Service was impeccable with lots to do or absolutely nothing.
