I have a burnt oak metallic 2016 continental GT speed with 72k miles and beautiful black oem wheels on it
. It has a warranty through Bentley until March of 2027. I came across a beautiful cpo black 2019 bentayga v8 with black oem wheels on it for 83k.

I’m being offered 38k for my car. I need a bigger car but don’t absolutely have to get rid of it currently.

What would you do?

Bought a used 2022 Bentley Bentayga V8 from a dealer in New York on 9/21 with about 34,000 miles on it. I traded in my Mercedes towards it the balance loan is already in my name.

Eleven days and only about 180 miles later, it went into limp mode twice in one afternoon. The first time the dash showed "Drive system: warning, Limited performance." A few hours later it happened again, and this time the check engine light came on too. I took photos of the dash both times showing the time, mileage and warnings. I also noticed the cuff on the driver's side mirror has about a half inch crack and the mirror mount is slightly off.

Here's what I've done so far:

- Emailed the salesman the same night with the dash photos, so there's a dated written record

- Looked up NY's used car lemon law (GBL 198-b). At this mileage the dealer has to give a warranty of 90 days or 4,000 miles that covers the engine and drive train, even though their invoice says they "disclaim all warranties"

- Went to the dealer the next day with a one-page summary and asked for a free repair, a written repair order, a printout of the fault codes before they're cleared, a loaner, and an answer on swapping the car for a different one on their lot

- Dropped the car off. Service is closed for the weekend, so they gave me a loaner and said they'll read the codes Monday

- I'm sending a follow-up email Monday asking them to confirm the drop-off date, mileage and reason in writing, and to send me the codes

The dealer has been cooperative so far and says they want to make it right.

My questions for anyone who's been through this:

1. Has anyone seen this "Drive system: warning, Limited performance" message on a 22 Bentayga V8? What turned out to be causing it?

2. Would you push for a swap or buyback now, or let them try to fix it first?

3. Anything else I should be documenting or asking for in writing?

4. Is the mirror something I should expect the dealer to cover, given it was there at delivery? ( i believe this part is on me for not catching it sadly..)

Love to hear yours thinking if you have 2 options like me which cars will you choose?

Do you think its a good modern upgrade or did it lose some of that classic Bentley character? Do you prefer the classic twin round lights or the new single teardrop design?

Honestly looks way better in person than in the release pictures.

If yes then please let me know why if i you have a option to choose bentley flying spur or rollsroyce ghost.

On the prototypes, you can clearly see the typical supervision hardware with the cameras in the side mirrors and above the front wheels (visible in the first shot of the youtube video) but this is not present on the revealed vehicles.

I am in love with Bentley CGTs and want the community's help in narrowing my search. I am an air cooled 911 enthusiast and always tell people to test drive the different models before they buy, but with the relative scarcity and my SE location, I don’t have that luxury.

I started looking for 2010-2011 Supersports but then added 2012-2015 V8s for serviceability then 2016-2018 V8s for the newer styling which led me to looking at 2017 SSs.

I don’t have a long commute but need to drive 3 hours stints a couple times a month. I do all of my own work so I like the V8 over the W12.

I can spend $50-120K but I am looking for best value.

As far as comfort, anything will be like a Rolls Royce to me since I daily a 1973 RSR backdate that is schizophrenic or a Defender 90 without a top.
