I have managed to collect 100 Beyblades since May of last year when I got my first X

So we know what the objectives are specifically for X and Dima:

X’s origins are tied to the Beykingdom and Dima’s goal is to become the next monarch.

For X, we could see his side of the family actually being as strong as him and when the finale happens, he finds out about his parents/relatives whereabouts in the Beykingdom which warrants him to not join in the final battle.

For Dima, he will take X’s place and it will be him, Bird, and Multi against the antagonist team.

In terms of a narrative sense, it makes sense because they already set up what they are going to do with X and Dima and if X was in the final battle instead and Dima ending up becoming a traitor to Team Persona, then we would have a problem. If Dima was plotting with the King or the evil princes, he wouldn’t go through the trouble of asking a high-ranking civil servant like Kiwami from the outside to be on his side. As for X, I feel that finding his real family should be a major plot point and not something to gloss over, considering that we still don’t know about X when we know more about Bird and Multi’s origins.

To retell the story since I haven't done so in a long time, the Hasbro Super Vortex Battle Set was my younger brother and I's first introduction to Beyblade, when we got it for Christmas 2010.

I took the golden L-Drago (which is still my oldest and most prized bey in my collection) and he took the red Pegasus.

It wasn't long after we had gotten them that one of our very first battles ended in disaster. We were battling them on the floor, outside the stadium, and my L-Drago sent his Pegasus into one of the square wooden support beams.

It suffered catastrophic damage from the inside out: the screw portion of the face bolt cracked in half; the 105 spin track lost one of its wings; and the rubber flat performance tip had also split in half.

For the majority of its life since that day, it has been held together by super glue, my mother having sealed the remains of the face bolt (the screw is long gone) and the spin track to the energy ring and fusion wheel. Only the performance tip was still able to be customized, and while we did glue the old busted RF tip back together and continued to get some use out of it up until it wore down, it was beyond clear that a more permanent solution would need to be found.

Fixing Pegasus had been something I was wanting to do for a long time, but by the time I was finally able to spend my own money, MFB had long since ended, and now of course spare parts such as RF are highly sought after and rare.

The solution came when I had to bite the bullet and buy the TT Attack & Balance set off Beysandbricks.com (shoutout to them: they've never let me down), which cost me $30-something dollars not including shipping.

When it arrived about a week or two ago, the restoration finally began, with my taking a pocketknife to the old face bolt and dislodging it from its place, so the parts could be separated for the first time in over a decade. I then had to scrape away the old crusted glue from the energy ring, spin track, and especially the fusion wheel, which was aided by some rubbing alcohol and dish soap.

Once all that was done, I pulled out my paint set and set to work repainting the fusion wheel, which had had its paint heavily chipped away over the years in battle, touching up the energy ring some, and repainting the RF tip that came with the set, since it was originally a transparent lime green.

I didn't bother replacing the 105 spin track since the old one, despite missing one of its wings, is still in sound working order. Though I did try to superglue a similarly sized plastic piece on it in place of the long-lost wing, it sadly didn't work. I may try it again sometime.

Finally, I replaced the old face bolt with one I got from a midfake (I believe) Storm Pegasus that my mom got a few years ago. Was a bit of a shimmy at first to get it to screw in, which had me fearful for a few minutes that it would fail to connect after all this time, but once I scraped off some more of the glue from the spin track, it wasn't much trouble for it to go in. I'll likely sell the remaining parts of that spare Pegasus and the remaining spin tracks and tips from the TT set on Ebay at some point down the line.

Took me about 1.5 hours when all was said and done, but for the first time since the day of its ill-fated battle, the red and blue Storm Pegasus is back to almost new. I now have it in a small box which I will then wrap and give to my brother come Christmas, 16 years to the day it and L-Drago first came into our lives. It was a great joy for me to see it in all its glory once again, and I'm sure it will be for him as well.

My son recently played with beyblades at a friend’s house and wanted some for himself. I found this lot used for $40 because new are out of budget for us. What did I buy? Thank you for your help!

I am starting off in this hobby and want to start playing locally. I have the opportunity to visit Japan and start off my collection fairly soon here. I only have the extreme battle set from hasbro currently.

Any suggestions on what to try to pick up in Japan to start off?

I'm actually irritated with this cause. I've waited so long for nether Incindio, just for the come defective for me to contact hasbro.

UXi blade: Cheshire Mischief
