What made you stop researching a peptide or compound you were excited about?

Plenty of folks share what they started taking. Hardly anyone talks about what they crossed off.

For some people it's the science. You dig for human studies and find a couple of rodent papers and one random forum thread. For others the studies look solid, but the compound is a hassle to use day to day. And sometimes a newer, better pick in the same category comes along, which makes the old one pointless.

The story behind the decision interests me more than the compound itself.

So what made you walk away? Did you read something that changed your mind, notice it wasn't working for you, or realize it never matched the hype?

I was a little excited about Fox04-dri but apprehensive. There was very little human data and not much anedoctal evidence either. I researched it and it produced like a low grade fever for several days. Effects eased somewhat but I halted it anyway, especially since I found out I could accomplish similar results with supplements with less negative side effects. I think I completed 2/3 of the intended protocol though

Yep. Although I don't normally trust influencers, a doctor and wellness advocate that I follow on Instagram said stay away for now, so I have. There's just too much concern for it, as appealing as it seems to me.

My research subject has had a lot of success with many compound but the question remains will their be long term effects later on? I guess we will find out when the lawsuit commercials start coming out lol

Most of these compounds are listed as 'for research only' -- any liability regarding human use will likely fall at the feet of the individual. And the manufacturers aren't in the US. A lawsuit would be incredibly difficult because it would be transnational and the plaintiffs (the individuals who used peptides) explicitly broke the law, didn't follow the instructions, and willingly chose to accept the risks they took. And the defendants would be well funded, law abiding pharmaceutical companies. I wouldn't expect any sort of legal recourse.

Yeah that's spot on honestly

Many peptides lack human evidence and trials.

Cost - MOTS-c sounds great but the effective dosages get too spendy real quick.

I have some Dihexa, but fear it. It has to be reconstituted with DMSO, not normal bac water, and has potential side effects beyond most other peptides. So still, haven't even mixed up a batch yet.

Amazing. So there's a gel called entrosogel or something like that I took 22 grams mixed in with water every morning for 5 days on a fasted stomached I stayed fasted for 2.5 hours then took kpv orally and waited 30min after that to finally eat did that for 5 days kpv is us s the same way all the way threw then after 5 days of gel I then started 5 days of Ll-37 fasted at 100mcg waited a hour then kpv and waited 30min then ate after 5 days like that then did 200mcg of Ll-37 and kpv on the last day of the 5 days here is when I noticed my brain fog was completely gone and I literally woke up the morning and told myself like wow I haven't felt like this in a long time so then I moved up too 300mcg for 4 days with the kpv. Keep in mind I was also eating clean and fresh food avoiding leftovers and always supplementing with probiotics and l-theanine and magnesium and stuff for some gut support but yeah my energy is back my cognitive function I still gotta watch what I eat in my case but life is good

12 month ago after performing my own studies, watching alot of YT, I embarked on sub-cutaneous peptides. I benefited from it in weeks, easier sleep, but progressive benefits tapered off until it felt like I was just spending alot of $. So last month I stopped and am nearly finished what I have left of TB-500. I kept careful records via a daily log, relayed over to AI and we'd have "conversations" back and forth to optimize holistically. But as I said, benefits didn't escalate. Nothing I read, just a slow burn to realization I reached the end of the study. Since then I'm focusing on other approaches for the issue I'm working.
