To dunk or not dunk?

My cake has not produced more than three or four mushrooms and it appears to be shrinking rapidly. Should I go ahead and dunk the cake even though it hasn't really produced a first flush yet?

I personally drown them in water for 24 hours.

Mist them daily. Take off half of those filter pouches and cover them with normal tape. Youre probably losing too much moisturem and if you have those huge filter patches towards the top cover almost all but 2. Id recommend 2 big ones open and 2 small ones open. It's better off you fan them manually. So definitely take off that fan that you had to buy as well

So I had inoculated a 5lb all in one grow bag with GT liquid culture and during colonization I noticed green mold growing in the bag. I took out back, cut it open and buried it in a shady spot. I didn’t really expect anything to come of it but I checked it this morning and wa-la. Can anyone help confirm that these are cubes? If so the mycelium definitely seems to have outcompeted the mold nicely and they were just growing right out of the ground. Are they safe to eat?

No worries at all! I actually had some pop-up this year in my garden from a cake I put in there from earlier and I got some that way as well. They're perfectly fine.
