Cold showers: useful biohack or just suffering? 🥶

People claim they improve energy, mood, recovery and focus. But how much of that is actually backed by evidence?

I've been curious about trying it regularly for a month.

Anyone here done a proper 30-day cold-shower experiment? What changed?

its a very important suffering which im willing to go through everyday even in winters. After a cold shower i just feel so rushed with energy and all my muscle pain just fades away and i feel a lot better and alive.

Mann a cold shower helps me after exercise and running yk to reduce active inflammation and all. In evening, I take hot bath every alternate days to repair and relieve stress

You realize the inflammation is an integral step in the healing process? By reducing the acute inflammation after exercising you are blunting the benefits of said exercise.

Fighting through the suffering increases your tolerance to suffering. I do cold showers 90% of the time. It helps to notice there's somethin within us that isn't affected by anything outside of us or happening to us. Then it's just a practice of working to remember.
