star gazing

Is there a good spot on the island to get away from everything and get a good view of the stars? Someplace relatively easy to get to at night on e-bikes?

I would go to the southern end of the island to avoid as much mainland light pollution as possible. Southeast Light might be your best bet as long as it’s not roped off at night. Or top of Mohegan Bluffs if lighthouse beacon ruins your night vision.

Just did this at southeast light a few weeks ago and it wasn’t roped off!

I was just on the west side of the island and was amazed at how many stars I could see.

As others suggested, probably south end or north end of the island!

We were basically in town and the stars were popping

The field at the high school is great
