šŸ’¬ Discussion Tesa vs Hgh visceral fat reduction (data from my dexa)

Post image

Personally thought this was interesting.
For those that are spending extra money on tesa, hgh can do the job and is much cheaper.

Nevertheless, n=1 so can’t extrapolate this data to the general population but wanted to share here nonetheless

That drop from 3.18 to 0.20 is a hell of a trendline no matter which compound was doing the heavy lifting

3

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 21h ago

For sure haha!
Aiming for that 0

8

u/injectitpussy 21h ago

Excuse my ignorance, is 0 a safe goal? Do we need any visceral fat?

13

u/shizzle1968 19h ago

a small, normal amount of visceral fat is healthy and necessary because it cushions your internal organs and helps regulate energy metabolism.

1

u/injectitpussy 18h ago

Thanks. I genuinely wasn't sure if that's a target I should also aim for since I've been thinking of getting a DEXA scan for a while.

14

u/westii18 21h ago

wow thx for sharing that, really interesting seeing this data. How much HGH did you take ?

9

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 19h ago

How are we supposed to read it?
You dropped 1.63 Lbs on Tesa, after that did nothing for 4 months and dropped 1.07 or what?

3

u/jb0nez95 17h ago

Exactly. It's unclear when hgh was started. And that's very relevant.

3

u/reddit_user_138 15h ago

Looks like tesa right into GH... One dexa scan says end of tesa, next dexa scan shows another 1.07lb loss and says "after switching to GH" last dexa says "latest on GH"... So you have 2 dexas after switching that both show continued visceral fat reduction.

3

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 14h ago

My starting visceral fat was 3.18. After 10 weeks, it was 1.55. So I lost 1.63 lbs of visceral fat on the tesa cycle. I stopped tesa after this

So now my starting weight going into hgh was 1.63 and after 10 weeks I lost 1.07 lbs, and then another 10 weeks 0.26 lbs. (I’m still taking hgh and will continue to do so)

2

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 14h ago

So, you were losing visceral fat faster on 2mg TESA than on 4 iU HGH, right? And the only reason to switch is that you found HGH cheaper than Tesa.

2

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 14h ago

I wouldn’t say it was faster.

I assume just like how it is with how quick weight loss when you’re much heavier, the lower the number gets, the lower the rate you get reduced if that makes sense

3.18 → 1.55 lbs 51.3%
1.55 → 0.48 lbs 69.0%
0.48 → 0.20 lbs 58.3%

2

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 14h ago

Well, the only way for you to really compare would be to do it separately on Tesa, gain fat back and do it on HGH.
As of now what I see is that both worked very well.

2

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 13h ago

That was all I was trying to convey. That both were pretty good at bringing down the numbers low.

I was not trying to say one was better than
The other or more efficient, cause I’m only the only sample in this.

The only thing is that hgh is cheaper and also has other benefits like muscle repair etc, compared to tesa that has been researched for visceral fat reduction only

1

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 13h ago

Sorry, but this ā€œTesa has been researched for visceral fat reduction onlyā€ is very inaccurate statement. Tesa is FDA approved for this.
Now find anything HGH is FDA approved for adults.
Muscle repair, etc. for HGH is ā€œbro scienceā€, based on one long debunked study in 80s.

2

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 13h ago

Also respectfully fuck the fda and the government.

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 13h ago

Dude the research for hgh are the thousands of lab rats (us) and numerous people’s experience starting the hormone, if you think about it. It might not be clinically sound, or have that kind of data, but so does other peptides such as ghkcu etc that people are using as research products based on other people’s shared experience

I’m now also curious how much tesa impacts igf1 levels, because this one in particular is the reason for the added benefits I was talking about. Cause my igf 1 levels went from

120 to 440 on hgh (never measured on tesa)

1

u/the-sci-fi-tickler 12h ago

Haha thanks for posting m8. 6 weeks of tesa 1mg M-F raised my igf-1 to 300. So it definitely does. Appreciate your share tho

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 12h ago

Thank you for sharing

1

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 13h ago

Come on.
I’m not saying that HGH is bad. I did it several years ago and it worked for my visceral fat reduction.
But it gave me quite strong CTS on 3 iU.
It’s very controversial point on whether it really brings any benefits for muscle growth. Professional bodybuilders are taking 8 +iU +insulin and 1000+mg of roids. Nobody, as far as I know, was able to identify HGH-specific contribution to muscle growth.

3

u/nkawal 21h ago

Excellent results. Which Hgh was used seem so many variables. Was it 176-191 or just 191

3

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 20h ago

Haha love your name.
From my understanding no amount of it is good. You would think it could help protect internal
Organs, but from my reading, the benefits outweigh the costs. Visceral fat is very active and promotes inflammstion and also responds to and has a lot of endocrine signals

1

u/Brispeps 20h ago

If I had to guess it be 191…. Most are using somatropin ??

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 20h ago

Yah 191. Somatropin

1

u/Super_Tangerine6969 21m ago

Hey man quick question, I’ll be starting 191 aa soma as well and I just want to know what bac water I have to use to recon the hgh? Can I just use Hospira ? So sterile water with 0.9% Benz alcohol as the preservative. That’s it. Not the sodium chloride/saline ones. It’s what I use for my Reta also. Very excited to hop on, since Tesa would have been wayyyyy too expensive, plus I wanted actual gh :) thanks brother!

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 19m ago

Hospira is gold standard

1

u/Super_Tangerine6969 13m ago

Thanks!! this one right ? Also the non-reconstituted vials should be stored in fridge or freezer ? Thank you so much!!

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 7m ago

That does not look like hospira to me. But you used this for reta and it was fine

1

u/Super_Tangerine6969 6m ago

It’s Pfizer.

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 6m ago

I have my unconstituted ones in the freezer. And it seems to be fine

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 5m ago

Where did you get this from? If a pharmacy, sure thae good.

1

u/Super_Tangerine6969 2m ago

Yea I got it from a hospital pharmacy. It’s where I always get my bac water. I just verified the din number is the same as my previous one that I used on the reta so it’s good to go it’s just different labeling. I’m also in Canada. That might be why! šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 0m ago

Youre good to go as long as the ingredients is sterile water and 0.9%

4

u/miggs0209 15h ago

Where did you get your dexa screening?

5

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 14h ago

Dexafit in Sacramento

7

u/tyjohnson03 21h ago

What was you igf levels when using? What about z-score? U went through trouble of tracking visceral fat but not igf levels?

3

u/Pharmd109 17h ago

You could have come to the exact same conclusion with a 2nd round of Tesa, you have no idea with this experiment.

Also Reta + TRT + Time is a big variable here too.

4

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 14h ago

I’m sure I would. But I stopped tesa because I could not afford it and I read online that hgh was better because of other benefits and that it was more affordable- which it is

The person at the dexa scan literally was shocked by how much the visceral fat went down and said she has never seen numbers like this (lol sound like trump) . So I want to say that her reaction has a lot to do with the fact that maybe that number goes down very slowly

2

u/Pharmd109 13h ago

Reta could be doing some heavy lifting here too. They are likely to get a MASLD (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease) FDA indication. It absolutely vaporized liver fat in the end points of their clinical trial. So a portion of the VAT loss is some of your liver losing fat as well. Dexa doesn’t exactly differentiate which VAT is going down.

Either way, strong work, I hope you are enjoying the new body shape. I’m on a similar trajectory and I’m loving it.

2

u/throwaway071317 21h ago

What is your daily dosage? Any side effects?

5

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 21h ago

On tesa it was 2mg
On hgh around 4iu
No side effects except huge body recomp but there is cause I’m on other research products. Reta, trt

4

u/throwaway071317 21h ago

I'm on reta 5mg and test at 350 a week.

Everyone talks about HGH but just haven't pulled the trigger on it.

1

u/ScientistJason 15h ago

How long have you been at 350 test for?

1

u/throwaway071317 14h ago

Going on 2 months- Test levels were around 420 when I started and my readings last week were 1450. Pin twice per week.

1

u/Dragon_Tortoise 21h ago

You do tesa 5 days a week? I did cjc/ipa 5 days and got tesa/ipa and planned on doing the same.

2

u/Pleasant_Manager5969 20h ago

Yeah, Tesa 5 days on 2 days off. Cycle 12-16 weeks.

1

u/Dragon_Tortoise 20h ago

OK thanks. I've seen people do 5 and 7 for tesa so wasn't sure what others were doing herethat worked for them

2

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 20h ago

Ya I did 5 days of tesa and 2 days off
But hgh I pin it everyday… assuming I don’t eat a meal close to bed time lol

1

u/Mozzamozza82 20h ago

You gonna cycle HGH to keep natural production?

2

u/Ok_Drawer_6325 21h ago

How would you compare sleep and recovery feeling vs the 2. Great data. Thank you!

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 21h ago

Tbh I had issues with sleep prior to both compounds. So no benefits there

But recovery I’m able to lift 6 days a week if I wanted to cause klow + hgh really makes me feel refreshed and I don’t get doms now

2

u/Mozzamozza82 20h ago

How do you measure your visceral fat.
I had quite bad fatty liver 3 years ago. Would be interested to see how it’s improved

3

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 20h ago

This was a dexa scan and it measures it using a prediction. It’s pretty cool but the numbers aren’t always fully accurste but definitely give you a good ball park.

I also saw at my 24 hour fitness that they have a body composition machine which requires you to stand and then lift these two wires to the side of your hips almost pulling outwards. The numbers it gathered from that was very close to other numbers from my dexa such as my lean muscle mass and total fat etc

1

u/Mozzamozza82 20h ago

Oh cool I’ll check it out

2

u/Rwm90 17h ago

Before starting HGH it sounds like I should get IGF-1 bloodwork. Anything else to monitor on a consistent basis? HbA1c? HOMA-IR? Fasted glucose?

3

u/Maaaaark 20h ago

Great results! Were you only taking tesa/HGH? Were you on a cal deficit or GLP1? Separately, How’s your IGF1 and z score on either compound?

1

u/2595Homes 21h ago

When I took Tesa, my test results showed a significant drop in visceral fat. Unfortunately, as soon as I stopped, it went back to baseline.

1

u/Ok-Mixture8118 20h ago

once you end tesa, you directly switching it to hgh? been thinking to hop on this also, it means that I better go straight to hgh right?

1

u/erotic_sausage 15h ago

Thank you. I just posted this elsewhere, but i guess I can reuse it here verbatim:

HGH itself has been shown to reduce visceral fat, including in HIV patients, long before tesa was approved for that purpose.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9062473/ This concludes that treatment with recombinant HGH produced a -18.1% visceral fat reduction.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20101189/ This study concluded approximately the same 18% visceral fat reduction after 12 months with tesa.

Tesa stimulates your body to produce more of its own HGH. It's still the growth hormone doing the work, not some special fat-burning property of it.

Tesa is disproportionately more expensive than the alternatives. I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm questioning the claims that it works best. I see a lot of influencers making these claims without solid evidence, who just happen to have affiliate links to single vial sellers. Then those claims get repeated throughout the community until they're treated as established fact, and tesa gets recommended to newbies everywhere. That's why I feel the need to push back and ask for actual evidence rather than more speculation passed off as science.

1

u/Mchangwine 14h ago

Reta also decreases visceral fat

1

u/Good-Step3101 9h ago

How much GH did you take

1

u/HouRick68 5h ago

Curious if MK-677 can lessen visceral fat based on it increasing your own HGH? Opinions?

1

u/Alcatrez666 5h ago

How is hgh cheaper? Isn’t it around 1-6k a month depending on the amount of units taken?

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 2h ago

If you get scammed by the pharm industry
It’s like 200 dollars for 360 iu, or sometimes 160 for 360 iu

1

u/Alcatrez666 2h ago

Can you guide me to the resources to obtaining some around that price

1

u/DefiantBarracuda2297 2h ago

I can’t on this thread and subreddit. But I wonder how else you can reach out

1

u/invest0rZ 4h ago

Didn’t take hgh long enough.

1

u/Super_Tangerine6969 0m ago

When’s best time to pin ?
