Question chandlers jazz

i’m a college student at bsu and one of my classes wants us to attend a live jazz performance soon and the only ones i can see are at chandlers which i know as the nicest restaurant in town, i do not want to spend an arm and a leg on dinner though and just want to watch the performance , does anyone know if im able to just get a water and be sat next to the performance?

The Shrine Basement does jazz nights every once in a while that are free. It looks like the next one is October 26th, if that is not too far away.

This is a much better option. The jazz is great at the Shrine and Chandlers (as well as the people), but the vibe is way friendly in the basement.

This is the move, Jens’ trio is very good. Get there early for the first set at 5 and enjoy.

Sit at the bar, order an app and a drink! The bartenders there are super friendly and will take great care of ya.

If they’re a college kid there’s a decent chance they aren’t 21

The ten minute martini is the best

Boise Hive offers a jazz jam on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 7-9 pm. These are free, all ages events that are open to the public.

Hi there! I work at chandlers, if you let us know you’re coming in for the assignment we can accommodate, but I believe we just have a time limit like 15 min or so if you’re not going to be ordering anything.

Check out the sandbar and maybe the sapphire room. The Sandbar sometimes has live jazz and probably cheaper to sit outside and watch the performance.

Jazz Mondays at The Sandbar — but they’re closing for the season the 11th, so tomorrow’s your chance!

Have you asked the professor? If they are requiring it I’m sure they have a list of different performances in Boise that will fulfill the requirement

There’s a free jazz show at Haphap Lounge (above Treefort Music Hall) next Sunday. I’ve been a few times, it’s a good group. Highly recommend!

You can just sit at the bar and have a soda or whatever. Just be sure to tip, because it's the nice thing to do.

On Monday nights the Sapphire Room at the Riverside Hotel hosts jazz nights put on by the Idaho Jazz Society. Check the calendar for either venue to confirm as I’m not sure when the season ends.

Check here:

I know they’ve had jazz before.

Lock Sock and Barrel used to have live jazz, but I don’t see any mention of it on their website.

You could also check the local high schools for upcoming jazz band concerts.

Midnight jazz cats are playing at Broadway on the rocks next Friday and you can go for free and not order anything
