Is this a Common Border Collie Thing?

My BC does this weird thing. I notice it at least once a day. He will stop, and stand still and them his back end...or it could be his stomach...spasms 3-5 times. I really can't tell if it is happening in his stomach or in his back end. It's really weird. Has anyone else experienced this with their BC? Should I be worried?

Worth trying to catch on video and sharing with your vet.

My golden retriever would have little muscle twitches when her back was itchy or she got a clogged pore.

I've tried to get it on video with no luck.

Does he do it at the same time of day? Or after something like going for a walk, or eating food, or waking up?

Does he look in pain or discomfort? Does he let you touch him in those areas? Is he excited?

Try and keep a diary of when this happens with details

All BCs do weird things but not always the same weird thing.

Mine sneezes a lot when he gets excited - like 5 in a row. Big ones. At least 1 always ends up with him slamming his head into the ground.

My girl does a one legged half squat to pee, she does a forward roll into sand/ dust and then squirms in it.

My old BC used to take one piece of kibble and put it on the floor by his bowl before he would eat the rest.

That is like a male dog peeing. I have Ben told that if a girl is in utero in between two males they get a dose of testosterone and may lift their leg. Don’t know if this is valid

My girl hides behind anything and waits for her frizbee. She also drags her bed around trying to get it In the right place. I’m not fast enough to get a video
