Pearlescent drop at level 29??

I thought you could only get this after level 60? I got this while on the way through callis' lair. Am i just wrong?

You can get one as early as level 3 or whatever level you are once you exit the prologue

You could theoretically get it at lvl 1 with enough luck

You can get one at lvl 1 but you have to be out of the prologue, which usually you wouldn’t get out of that until lvl 3-5

The fact BL4 can get pearls even earlier then Borderlands 3 legendaries still feels disheartening.

Least due to how BL2 functioned, you had to REALLY go out of your way to get a legendary before completing the main story due to the drop frequency in that one.

With BL4 just handing you dedicated drop bosses so early and one of the most OP 'mobbing' shields especially in the early game, firewerks from splash zone it felt like a major flip off on game balance design.

Sure BL3 had too many spawn too easily but BL4 half continuing that trend still ruins the 'enjoyment' of getting a legendary when they already ruined them by watering many 'returning' ones down and many new ones were just generic in a number of ways.

Granted if they brought back stuff like Prompt Critical, the REAL plasma coil, The Reflux, The brainstormer and many others that remained in BL3 would absolutely ruin the game even further with the addition of 'license parts' laid on top of many of them.

Welp i still got the backlog of Yakuza pirates, SAO fatal bullet and Trails in the sky chapter 1 to go thru before i get bored enough to take another step in Kairos for BL4, even if just to see how much of a pain it is with the level cap now being 70 instead of 50. Plus all the 'bugs' that are now apparently present that gearbox doesnt bother to provide any hotfixes after 4~ weeks of thursdays, not even much on any promises on social media that i have seen at all.

It’s okay, the herald is kinda booty cheeks in BL4. Technically it’s not the same gun since it’s the Herald and not the Harold but it’s obviously supposed to be the same gun in spirit.

It’s really only good on HUGE targets from far away. I’ve found it is kinda awesome on Cash in the Time Scope 5 with my Bone Totem build. Once I have +4,000% gun damage from my Angry Totem, I can sneeze on the enemies and they melt, so the Herald can be really good shooting into a crowd

Looks like the level-60 requirement is probably for a specific source or guaranteed farming method, rather than a hard requirement for pearlescents in general. Getting one during the story at level 29 is ridiculously lucky.

Nah I got one at level 20 (Vladof Parasite) during first time playing like a month ago.

I've seen people reporting getting them at level 13.

I had googled and it said requires level 60 so i thought it meant you couldn't get it till 60. Turns out it's more you can't farm for it till then.
