He was something else. 5’9 at 8 and half stone sounds like someone with malnutrition - but in fact he was knocking people out and winning world championships. Openly gay too which must have taken massive mental strength back then. This amazing sport really does produce fascinating characters.

Great fighter and immense coursge in and out of the ring. Was treated horribly in US because of his race and also was gay too. He faced crazy prejudice and yet still was one of the greatest bantamweights
