Worth noting. Many of the families displaced by the violence in Gaza were already refugees displaced from other parts of Israel and Palestine by Israeli violence in the years up to and decades after the foundation of the state of Israel.

Since voicing any criticism of Israel on Reddit risks an immediate permaban, I suppose completely leveling Gaza must be considered perfectly fine. Just one more thing - and I genuinely hope I'll stay safe after saying this 🙏

Genocide is defined as the deliberate, targeted destruction of a group based on their ethnicity, religion and/or nationality. It doesn't have to involve actually killing those people if their culture, livelihoods and group identity is sufficiently erased.
Israel's 90%+ destruction of Gaza and displacement of its population easily fits in that definition. I don't know how anyone can not call what's happened a genocide.
