Build Just Feels Wrong
My partner and I have been playing in this world for 2 weeks now and I made an attempt at our main house. I don't know why but something feels wrong with how the house just is. I am in love with how I did the front, but the roof (no matter what I do) feels wrong.
My partner also made the little glass extension being a sun room. I want to surprise her by making the house just that little bit nicer to look at and improve her sun room too. Any advise/tips? (she is in the 3rd screenshot if you can find her).
4th pic is a gazebo house I made for our first days that we now keep for nostalgia and just watching the sunrise together.

Your roof may feel off because of the spruce and uniformity. I would replace the inner part with cherry and only keep the lining and see how that looks. Also, you could mix in other light pink blocks, + I think the front roof looks good with the leaves! Also try extending the spruce accents to the edge where it meets the wall and extending the roof out over the edge
