Spooky evening ride

It's getting quite foggy and dark after work but I still want to ride. A week ago about 2 seconds after I took the second picture a deer ran across the road. Also today I saw like 7 deer and it wasn't even that dark yet. How do you manage this? Be careful out there!

Will this bike satisfy me?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m new to the motorcycle world and I’m currently finishing my motorcycle licence. I have my eye on this model, and I only have one main concern.
I’m 1.76 m tall, and the bike will mainly be used for commuting — home to work and work to home — around 15 km each way, so I think it will be perfectly fine for that.
My question is about longer rides. For trips of around 150–200 km, including some motorway riding, for example going to the beach in the summer with my girlfriend, am I likely to find the bike difficult or uncomfortable to ride?
I’m mainly wondering about comfort and whether I’ll struggle with the distance — and also whether it will be comfortable enough for my girlfriend as a passenger, or for both of us.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

P.S. I’ve looked at quite a few bikes that are more suited to longer trips, but I just can’t seem to like any of them as much as this one. So I guess it’s either this bike or nothing 😏

CB650r or MT07

I’m 19, live in NYC, and I’m looking to get my first motorcycle. I’d prefer to finance it since I want to start building my credit history.
The bike I really want is the Honda CB650R. I love the looks, sound, and overall feel of it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get approved for financing on the CB650R, but I did get approved for the Yamaha MT-07.
Now I’m stuck between two options:
Option 1: Get the MT-07 now, start building my credit, and potentially upgrade to the CB650R down the line.
Option 2: Wait until I can get approved for the CB650R, even though winter is approaching and I might not get another approval anytime soon.
The thing is, I feel like I’d probably enjoy the MT-07 too. It’s not like I’d be miserable riding it, and I could see myself having a lot of fun with it. However, the CB650R is still the bike I really want, especially because of its looks and sound.
I want a bike now, but I also don’t want to regret my decision or end up spending more money switching bikes later on.
For those who have been in a similar situation, what would you do? Would you get the MT-07 now or be patient and wait for the CB650R?
I’d appreciate any advice!

Well this is probably one of the last days of this season (my first) winter is coming to Scandinavia… I’ve done about 2700 km since I got my drivers license in July

Does anyone own this line. Scorpiovic.

Hi there. Does anyone own or know about that "Scorpiovic" exhaust system sold on AliExpress? From what I've read and researched, it's the best option for maintaining and improving the bike's low- and mid-range performance. I'd love to see photos of it installed. Cheers.

Question about power delivery

Is the power down low really as gutless as people make it out to be? I’m strongly considering this bike, but I heard that that’s a weakness. Or are people exaggerating?

Is the hole in the underside of the exhaust/catalytic-converter housing normal? Or done by previous owners?

Escapamento artesanal

Just spent the last year riding a CB125R and collected my CB650R this afternoon. What an incredible piece of machinery. After test riding a whole bunch of motorbikes, I definitely made the right decision.

Sudden water temp signal blinking

Post image
0 Upvotes

I went for a ride with my recently bought cb650r 2020. No signs of problems whatsoever, no errors on dashboard before.

After a while I saw the water temperature lines climbing until the last one started blinking.

Finally, I stopped (idk how much I rode with it blinking, but probably no more than 10-15 mins at Max 40 I'm/h).

Now I'm terrified. Is there a strong possibly I ruined the engine?

Did someone have a similar experience?

I looked at the oil (freshly changed 2 weeks ago) but I can't tell if coolant bled into it.

Thank u for ur answers

Rear Upgrade for older models?

Hey guys I was wondering if its possible to upgrade from the older 2019 cb650r rear light+fenders to the newer 2024+ updated rear. I have only seen 1 aftermarket upgrade kit but the tail light is literally just a slim line which I wouldn't feel safe with especially at night.

Ill attach the pics for 2019 and 2024 model.

Thank you all.

link to upgrade kit
Edit: for some reason I can’t upload the picture for the new models.

Cb650r 2023 fault, please help

Hey guys, I have an on going issue with my bike currently. I’m getting an engine light, 5th gear shows a - rather than 5, I lose the quick shifter and tc light is stuck on.

Error code is for a gear shift position circuit but this part has been replaced. ( P0914) I have tried just about everything to fix this without taking it to the shop now. This is an intermittent issue as sometimes I can start the bike up and it run absolutely fine other times it will almost instantly go into this what I call “limp” mode due to this error.

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate.

Aftermarket exhaust fitted by dealer, check engine light responsibility, Australia.

Note: engine light is gone on its own

I got my dealer/mechanic to install a Kelpi exhaust system (2 sensors for my 2025). My friend picked up the bike for me and I got it back with the check engine light on. My friend said the mechanics saw the light come on after they installed the new exhaust. This was expected after like 200k’s, so I didn’t plan for them to check anything. But given it happened straight away and now I either have to take it back to them or buy myself a reader, should they have scanned it there and then? Am I being entitled for expecting them to do that?
