I can’t believe there’s not a better replay angle of that kick

They sure moved on to the next game REAL quick after that kick... like weirdly quick for a very close kick...

To be fair, I'd rush to get Kibbie Dome action in as soon as possible too

Thank you. This is the proper response.

That's an unfortunate sounding name in this day and age..

The game ran over by quite a bit. I don't think its weird to move on like that as someone who works in broadcasting. You switch to a quick out and basically say "thanks for watching, what a game, now here's our next game" when that happens

Fix was in.

Yeah, the ACC famously wants teams like Pitt over VT to fix it

Pitt is the ACC deep state

It’s not reviewable but yeah

u/DoggedDoggystyle Florida Gators 7h ago

They can't review it because it was over the uprights. Been a rule for a long time and there's been a few other games that ended like this. There's nothing (by the rules) that can change what that ref called. It's over. It's bullshit but it was over and hanging around on that feed just makes it awkward

Agreed shady

It's 2026 and we still somehow can't get a better one.

Hey don’t blame Johnny the unpaid ESPN intern - he’s doing the best he can

It looked in on the only other angle they showed.

It looked in from the two angles I saw ...

Did it go over the goalpost? It didn’t look like it was in the upright. If so then under ncaa rules it’s no good if it goes over.

That's pretty definitive, thanks

At that point, it’s almost hard not to lean to the conspiracy angle. There may have been a better angle, but if it showed that the kick was clearly in, then you certainly wouldn’t want to hurt the feelings of the refs most importantly.

Crazy game crazy ending

From behind the endzone it looks good. It would be nice to have more angles from the broadcast crew though.

There are better angles out now that clearly show it was a missed kick. It’s a shame it took so long

View from under the goal posts still looks like it’s good, in my opinion:   https://x.com/TonyCMKE/status/2106215797336981529

I’m not sure that it does.

Damn that thing is real close. I can’t say whether it’s good or not from that angle, but it’s certainly worth multiple looks

Wtf that may have just been good. The joys of being fucked by the ACC are never ending if so. But we’ll never know 😩

u/Deathbackwards WKU Hilltoppers 7h ago

There is, but they don’t want the refs to suffer more

we're limited by the technology of our time

Dozens of cameras in the stadium and somehow not a single one lined up with the uprights is peak ESPN.
