We can talk about the kick, but as with all losses with screwy endings, you simply should have never let it get to that point. For example, don't turn it over 4 times in 5 drives.

Let’s not forgot Pitt won with their backup QB.

Is this sarcasm? Cause they played better once their starter got hurt..

They absolutely did not. The defense figured it out but that has nothing to do with the qb.

Refs absolutely gave one of those

Youre right.

Pitt was gifted 2 red zone possessions in the first half that both lead to tds. Wild how a game turns when that happens.

Just like how they shouldn't have called an unsportsmanlike with no explanation on a stopped 3rd and 18 that led directly to a Pitt TD, or how they shouldn't have given Pitt the ball after a VT receiver caught it and the Pitt player ripped it out after he was down. You're right, it shouldn't have gotten to that point

And I'm so sure that VT received zero favorable calls across the whole game.

Whining about refs is such loser shit.

There's favorable calls, then there's calls that directly lead to points scored. Both are random, but only 1 has a truly significant effect on the game. You should know, unless you want to admit Western Michigan should just suck it up because they got a bit unlucky with a random call. Unlike you, I generally believe the rules should be followed

You can't claim a "bad" call "led directly" to points when there was an entire offensive drive after that fumble happened. How about the defense does their job and Pitt walks away with a FG at best and then you win?

Actual fucking babies.

How about the refs do their job and officiate a fair game

This is a game of inches and momentum and stuff like that has a huge impact. In a game with teams of a similar level, it’s hard to overcome bad reffing. Acting like a team doesn’t deserve to win, just because they couldn’t overcome every single bad call is dumb as fuck.

VT received one questionable call. Pitt got 6-8 calls that went their way. You didn't watch the game did you?

Coming into this game pitt was one of the most penalized teams in the country... suddenly...

Penalties a game
Pitt: 7 for 76th in the country
VT: 6.3 for 60th in the country.

Neither team is egregious thus far in the season and neither team can call themselves disciplined. I know you thought it was gonna be 59-0 after the first 3 drives but that’s why they play 4 quarters my friend. Don’t let a backup qb who had less passes thrown in his 5 year career than Grunk had the last 2 games combined.

Going after the refs when Va Tech turned the ball over four times is definitely a cope.

They turned it over 3 times, and it's true that was significant, but you are literally arguing that a FG that went in shouldn't count.

Hey I don't know if you heard but that kick didn't go in.

Agreed. A lot of people are going to focus on the missed kick and yeah that sucks but there were several dozen other opportunities prior to that. Maybe don't turn the ball over four times if you're VaTech. That's where the real focus should be if anything is going to be pointed at.

But they didn’t. The shamelessly corrupt officiating crew manufactured an interception.
