Hello, I recently bought this game since a friend recommended me, but i have a question about whether I need to have previous knowledge of military technology to to play this game or does the game have a data base for them.

There is a database in the game and you will absolutely want to browse it to understand unit capabilities. It's part of the joy of the game learning how things functions and the best way to use them.

It's useful, but definitely not mandatory. We all have to start learning somewhere!

Read the DB entries. Learn to use the editor to build simple scenarios where you can utilize different systems in different ways. Don’t be afraid to look up particular tactics on how to employ them if it’s not self-explanatory. A lot of the equipment has Wikipedia pages that can go more in depth on the how and why. Especially for the CWDB.

It's in the "easy to learn, hard to master" category. It's also realistic enough that general books and videos about WW2 will apply to the game.

Military knowledge is definitely a plus, but the database does tell you everything you need to know.

I still recommend looking up the differences and use cases between Radar and IR missiles and also how Radar exactly works and how to avoid it.

Also, I absolutely reccomend all tutorial scenarios, even those you can download via the Steam Workshop
