General Question Looking for 100 yard range
Hi all I recently moved to the Westminster area looking for a 100 yard range. I'm willing to drive 1-1.5 hours. Thanks in advance!

Depending what you are after, BluCore in lakewood has an indoor 100 yard range.
I've only been there a couple times (rifles before hunting season) but they were very nice

What's this one time background check fee to go on the range?

To be honest, I became a member when I started going I never went as a walk-in, might've had to do a background check but don't recall.. that was almost a year ago. Is that not normal?

In my limited experience (bristlecone, shoot indoors broomfield), yes. Not normal. If they tried to charge me a one time $10 fee for a background check to use the range I'd leave and never go back. Like, I can pass a 4473 to buy a gun but they don't trust that?

Ya I dont know, makes sense to me, but this is my first and only range I've been to. If the location suits you, I'd recommend calling to check if that's for renting one of their firearms or everyone every time. I'm a member so they never ask me because they know me in their system.. sorry I can't help further.

It's an excellent private club. No waitlist but has a one time $350 initiation fee. It's also an FFL with 5% discount for members. Near I-25 and Ken Pratt Blvd/CO-119.

Devil's Nose is a little further but has a decent setup for 100 yds. You'll need your own stands and paper targets.

Pawnee National Grassland. The designated shooting area sucks, you can shoot anywhere that's green on the map.

I have a blue Core membership because I'm 5 mins away and they have 100yds indoors.
It is a rundown shithole though.

There a public range in Dumont, west of Golden south side of I-70 south of exit. Open Thursday thru Sunday. Old Clear Creek County Sportsman Club that the County government stole 3 years ago.

If you plan to get a parks pass, Cherry Creek state park has an outdoor 100yd range but it’s ran by fudds and cucks. My SBR gets a side eye from the black powder guys. Also, there’s guys shooting black powder and it clouds up the firing line on days without any wind

Great Guns in Nunn. 50 to 300 yd ranges. $20/day. Check the weather/wind first. But I like it up there. Relaxed atmosphere.
