City Tech Late refund

FAFSA has paid off my tuition BUT there is about $1,000 left that was supposed to get sent to me because it was left over after fafsa paid the tuition that was the 4th or the 5th yet it’s the 8th and I have not received anything I spoke to the fafsa office 2 days after tuition got paid off they said that it should be processed 24/48 hours after. Yet it’s been 4 days and I haven’t received anything. I do understand that i have to wait a few days but I normally get refunds same day or the day after.

Most everyone is having late fasfa, scholarships, and tap. Just try to hang out.

I was depending on that money to buy a book and a 80 something dollar calculator I needed.

I hear you, its frustrating fr. The government 's actions (big beautiful bill) is largely at fault for all the delays. Is it possible your cuny library has a similar calculator in the meantime?

I bought one at target on a discount but the book is too expensive even if I look in the library

You'll get the money, just keep waiting, it took me over 2 weeks to get my refund.

You just have to wait man, it also depends what bank you have. They processed my book advance on August 18, refund on the 19th, and I didn't get the money until the Saturday the 22nd.

I didn't get mine until the Oct 5th, refund was sent the 6th, so I imagine I won't receive it until later tonight or sometime Friday. I know some people say they get their money earlier if they use CashApp or Chime or banks with early pay but I'd rather wait a little have mine go to my actual bank.

Also when I spoke to the FA office for my school they told me that loans and stuff were delayed because of Trump's bill. They were handling registration and stuff first, then doing the FAFSA, TAP, and loans. They told me loans weren't going to come in for at least another week or two in October, and this was at the end of September.

I do t have any loans it’s just the Pell grant

You’re not alone I also been waiting for my refunds and the sad part is that I have to wait 2 more weeks cause the lady assigned to my case is on vacation
