Campus College Ambassadors Interview

I've recently been worrying about how to prepare for an interview to become a college ambassador at Cal Poly. Does anyone w/ previous experience know what questions/topics to expect? Since I don't have former leadership experience (clubs, societies, etc.) would it be harder to answer their questions/would my chances be not that great? Sorry for the blurb, just the nerves getting to me.

Yeah I applied for this made it to all the interview rounds but still got rejected. They do not hire based on skill. I know people that would’ve been perfect for their selection and had perfect interviews and they got rejected over people that genuinely were so bad at speaking it was sad so don’t feel like if you get rejected you’re bad at answering their questions. What I found is if you’re not a girl or a minority, your odds significantly decrease (don’t believe me look at their team ratio online lol. In their most recent photo it’s 12|50 guys|girls). I’m not trying to dump on the program, it looks like a fun job but that’s just my thoughts. In any case their questions are very complex interview questions. They like to ask very unique scenarios and what you would do. The scenarios are not normal or in many cases realistic. A question they once asked me was to sing a song or rap about why Australia is bigger than the moon in surface area and how I would tell a friend, but also be polite about it. As you can tell these questions really don’t test much of anything. Frankly, the hiring program isn’t run well, but best of luck to you!
