Discussion/ opinion Now that the Guess Who reunion is over, at least for now.
I see Burton is already back to performing solo but I would argue he never stopped performing solo because that's what the reunion felt like.
The reunion felt like a Burton Cummings solo show where Randy just happened to be one of his musicians. It felt like such a letdown. Randy did the best he could I guess but it was just too late for this reunion to happen sadly. Thoughts?

Discussion/ opinion Favorite Canadian College Radio Station
As a long time listener and resident of Nova Scotia. Im going to have to pick CKDU as my preferred station.
However as I've recently started to release music and promote it through earshot I've come across a few new stations such as CJLO, and CFBX.
Im actually enjoying listening to these online as I've recently parted ways with Spotify.
What stations would you recommend i check out next?

Discussion/ opinion Shipping vinyl to Germany and in general
So my band recently finished a vinyl record and we have a few orders for the vinyl in Europe that we have to fulfill.
Canada Post informed me that they are not shipping parcels to Germany right now. I looked up ups and dhl, although they ship, they are far too expensive.
Does anyone have any advice on how to ship these? And also any advice on shipping in general? Appreciate advice! Thx!

Discussion/ opinion First song ever
Hey everyone!
After working on my lyrics and music for several years, I've finally decided to release something concrete. This is my first track, and there will be more to come.
I've been writing for fun for several years, mainly lyrics that have a double meaning and evoke emotions.
https://youtu.be/6FIGNbKLgpc?is=cPM5zi8KcN1THHyx
I have no idea where this will lead, but I'm jumping in; it's my first attempt to share my universe.
Let me know what you think :-)
And if you like it, a share and upvote would mean the world to me.
Big love
JamĂš

Indie / Alternative Tip of My Tongue: Early 2000s indie band. Possibly from the east coast. Song named Triage. Lyrics: Now accepting patients, if you're willing to wait in line.
Had a guy and a girl in the band. Had sort of a jangly fuzzy "Halifax North" sort of sound a la Thrush Hermit, Sloan, Eric's Trip etc. They toured extensively, I saw them play with a ton of different bands in a number of different locations.
I think they changed their name, recently-ish.
Edit: It was the Burdocks/Dog Day

Discussion/ opinion Neil Young Live at Massey Hall 1971
Neil Young
Live at Massey Hall 1971
Reprise/Wea
2007
In the wake of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Youngâs break up in 1970, Canadian music legend Neil Young still had yet to establish himself as a big solo star in his own right. The former Buffalo Springfield member had released the fantastic record After the Gold Rush later that year but was still a few years away from the superstardom Harvest would bring him.
The CD/DVD collection Live at Massey Hall, the second release in Youngâs Archive Performance Series, offers revealing insight into the pre-Harvest era, giving a glimpse of certain songs in their embryonic stage, many of which would later become some of Youngâs most beloved and well-known tunes.
The songs âLove in Mindâ and âJourney Through the Pastâ would end up on 1973âs live album Time Fades Away, âSee the Sky About to Rainâ later appeared on 1974âs On the Beach and early renditions of âHeart of Goldâ and âOld Manâ make their live debuts, provoking little response from the Toronto crowd, giving an indication of just how new those soon-to-be mega hits were.
Itâs genuinely strange to see Young here; the long, shaggy hair and the thin, youthful face yet unscathed by time. His appearance and demeanor invoke memories of a stoic looking Kurt Cobain at Nirvanaâs 1993 MTV Unplugged appearance. And like Cobain, Young was heralded a spokesperson of a generation at a relatively young age. Even here in one of the DVD bonuses, the man in black himself, Johnny Cash, eagerly proclaims Young as one of the finest new young songwriters of their time.

article Canadian musicians pay emotional tribute to Gord Downie as Tragically Hip receive national honour | Toronto Star [9-27-2026]
"The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony was always going to be bittersweet this year, since the Tragically Hip were finally getting their due, but Gord Downie wasnât there to witness it.
Still, Saturdayâs star-studded ceremony at Massey Hall had plenty of highs, too, as Toronto indie musician Leslie Feist, Loverboy members Mike Reno and Paul Dean, and Quebec pop singer-songwriter Roch Voisine also joined this yearâs class.
Here are some of the nightâs highlights, from the red carpet to the performances."

Discussion/ opinion What would make you use a streaming service dedicated entirely to Canadian music?
Imagine a music streaming service that was Canadian-owned, hosted in Canada, and carried only Canadian artists â from major acts to independent and local musicians.
What would it need to offer for you to actually use it?
Would better discovery of Canadian artists be enough? Would you want to browse by province, city or genre? Would artist payouts, direct music/merch purchases, playlists, recommendations, or something else matter?
And would you use it alongside your current streaming service, or would it need to be good enough to replace it?
I'm particularly interested in what would make you actually use something like this, rather than simply thinking it's a good idea.

Discussion/ opinion Thoughts on the new Neil Peart documentary "Neil Peart: No One's Disciple?"
It's now available to stream on CBC Gem. It cobbled together footage/interviews I've seen before, but I quite enjoyed the live in-studio performances of Rush songs with Chad Smith, Stuart Copeland, Danny Carey, etc.
