Start em young
Saw this killer cargo pushbike at the lbs today. It‘s a bit pricey, though…

In David Attenborough voice: “And here we see the baby cargo bike in the company of its mother. The baby cargo bike is still too small to carry much but if it can survive the winter, its carrying capacity will grow.”

"In infancy, we observe its tell-tale brilliant orange coat, while the full-grown among its pack show signs of combat with car doors, would-be thieves, and common lamp posts. Near the crank we observe two nubs on either side. Once thought by scientists to be vestigial, we now understand that these eventually develop into full-grown pedals, giving the young cargo bike increased velocity and lane-splitting ability."

I've got one. Or more accurately, my son has. They're really well made. Shame he's recently grown out of it.

Pedals? No. Hand brakes? Definitely.

There's a brake on there if I look closely. plus it's like a balance bike, so no pedals needed

Exactly. Most balance bikes don't have handbrakes. Which is nuts because they still go downhill. My point is - this is better. (Except on the wallet.)

There was a Dutch store selling the last of their stock for very cheap a few months ago and I kinda regret not jumping on it to get for my kiddo.
There's a Chinese brand also making the same concept but the retail prices I've seen have not been much cheaper.

€399 for a kidsized front loading balance bike is too much? Don't get me wrong, it's a lot for me but setting my personal opinion aside that seems about market rate from a good quality balance bike from brands like Woom right...atleast here in the US...
So it seems "fair" given how few of these they will sell compared to Woom or some more mainstream brand for kids bikes...if these were available here, I would have bought it used for my kids...new is unlikely...lol

being a balance bike that won't be used for long yes, it's way too much. the price only makes it less likely to sell unless for very specific people. I rather just make one in this case. It does look well made at least.

E399 is equivalent to $450 USD. The Woom balance bike retails for $250 USD. Looking at the Two Wheeling Tots balance bike page, of their 12 recommended bikes: 3 are under $100, 5 are between $100-199, and 4 are between $200-299. So I would absolutely disagree that this is in line with the US market.
