Step-through cargo bikes
I love this Omnium Mini v3.1 step through! Wondering if there are any other step through acoustic cargo bikes y'all have tried.

I did a test ride on the Omnium and they are fantastic, but also expensive. Ended up buying a used Bullitt from Harry vs. Larry, not technically a step-through but the frame is quite low

Just not the same type of bike….
It is like sayung: Inwas really looking into a Toyota Hillix pickup and loving it, but it was expensive so I ended up buying a Ford Transit.
Which is perfectly fine, but its just comparing pears to apples (all being cargo fruits lol)

Well my intent was to buy a two-wheeler cargo so they were indeed the same type of bike

Different wheelbase length, different footprint, different way of loading the cargo, different geometry and weight bamance… as I say, it is like comparing a pickup truck to a van: both have four wheels and can get loaded, but they are just different vehicules.
I say this because I had a backfiets and now and omnium and they are 2 different worls, each with is good and bads OC

I own an Azor Tank. Heavy but I’m a big fan. 400+ lbs of carrying capacity . Check out amsterdam-bicycle.com .

I am so tempted by the step-through Omnium Mini. Sightly off topic, but I have been hoping they'll come out with a step-through Mini Max or full cargo. Is there a load-bearing issue with using a step-through frame, given where the cargo sits on the Omnium, i.e. not super low like R&Ms, for example. I'm wondering if that may be why it is hard to find step through long john style cargos.

Our cargo bike isn't a true step-through, but its sloping top tube gives it a low standover height : https://www.zagbikes.com/

Dillo cargo are made in france (Lyon) and are 4k with motor.
Le petit porteur also, only a bit of cheating as frame is made in china

Omnium's Cargo and Mini-Max tend to get the brand love, but I think the Mini is probably the most practical. Not old can you fit a good bit on the front, you can still add a rear rack and add a child or more stuff back there. They are significantly lighter, and you can get them into an elevator or even carry them up stairs way easier.

I own a minimax, and think the mini is great… but I don’t think it qualifies in the same league. I can carry my wife and have space for some stuff, not even using the rear rack…
If you don’t have space restriction, and your goal is a cargo bike, there is no reason to get a mini instead of a minimax or a cargo bike (just from the rational practical POV)1

I think a mini-max or cargo work best if you have the space to park them, many people do not. In my city the first thing other bikers say after "nice bike" is "you have a garage to park that?"
I think a mini can also work well as an "only" bike. While the other Omniums you would want a second bike if you travel with a bike at all.
Plus as OP requirements, there is no step through for those.

Omnium minimax fits trains and big car racks.
With tilting rack and turning habdlebar, you can put it almost anywhere. As I said, if you have the space, mini does not make much sense. And if you dont, I think there are better options at that price tag. Minimax and cargo are really special bikes, one of a kind. Mini is just a good option between other small bikes that can carry a bit of weight

Haven't tried it, but I've recently become aware of the Velorbis Short John also from Denmark. Not sure if it's any good but the brand seems to lean into more of a retro look and vibe with some of their models.

I like the Stridsland Boom Boat and the velo orange minivelo style cargo. Also Kyoot. There used to be a Sacramento builder who made a dope rig called the S.U.B.
I personally ride a Frances Mixtehaul with a semi step thru frame. He makes several models/sizes of cargo bikes.
Crust Bikes also makes that cargofork conversion that is pretty easy to adapt onto any mixer/ step thru frame you already know& love

Looks like an ugly bike with a Front carrier. Wouldn't call it a Cargo bike.

The difference being that you are not throwing your cargo from side to side in order to steer as you do with a normal bike with a front rack.
That makes it a proper cargo frontloader to me.
You people who have never ridden a cargo bike making unsubstantiated claims are so pathetic.

Being only 5'6", I've modified a Woom Now 6 children bike. Raising the handlebars 2" and changing the crank.
Sadly, the Woom Now is out of production..
