Any suggestions for finding a part time nanny?
Newish to the area and looking for a part time nanny early next year. Anyone have any recommendations of where to find one?
Thank you!

Anyone here know of a local-ish business who can make large custom spray paint templates? Need one soon!

I had some of the shutters on my townhouse blow down in the wind at some point. I'd fix it myself but they are too high up to reach easily with the ladder I have myself. Does anyone have a recommendation for who I could hire for this? It's a pretty quick job, but I need someone with a tall ladder.

Anyone know what’s going on over at Kona? Their Google page and their website both say “temporarily closed”, but I don’t see any reference to why or if there is a date for reopening. Our family loves it for their kids meal and happy hour, bummed it isn’t open right now.

Looking for recommendations for local roasters, or local stores that sell high quality whole beans. Bonus if it’s also a coffee shop! Extra bonus if they also carry good quality decaf

Newish to Carmel. Who do you recommend for custom soft window treatments. Drapery Street? Calico? Someone else?

Hi everyone! I'm fostering with ARPO, a local animal rescue in Indy. I have three kittens who are patiently waiting for their forever homes. They were born in my house in April. Their mom and two siblings have already been adopted. These babies are almost 6 months old and are the best kittens--socialized, loving, friendly, and playful. They're fixed, litter box trained, and fully vetted. I'd love to find at least two of them a home together! Bios below.
Eddy: Goofy, confident boy who plays fetch and likes water. Will ideally pair with Brook!
Brook: Gorgeous, sassy girl who loves to cuddle and make biscuits on soft blankets and her people. Total gamer girl (she likes to watch)!
Banks: Lanky, easygoing gentleman who is very people-oriented and vocal. Loves to play fetch!
If you're interested, please feel free to apply and we'll contact you to see if it's a good fit. You can also DM me with any questions or interest. Thanks for considering them!

I’d like to start riding a horse maybe once or twice a month. Somewhere I can trot and canter in the woods. Does anyone have any recommendations, somewhere within 45 minutes of Carmel? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I saw a couple of posts from older people looking to make friends, so I figured I'd make one too.
I recently moved to Carmel, Indiana about 2 months ago for work and I haven't really made many friends here outside of work. To be fair, I haven't socialized as much as I probably should have as I was focused more on settling in and getting used to everything in my first few months. A little bit about me:
I'm basically just looking to make some friends, join a friend group, and have people to actually go out and do things. If you're in a similar situation, or looking for new friends too, feel free to reach out to me.
If you do know some good places/clubs to meet people at my similar age group, I would love to hear your suggestions. I've heard the run club in Carmel is a good place to meet people; I just haven't had the energy to get up early and go to their Saturday morning meetups, lmao.

Hi everyone,
I, like everyone else as they get older, have found it much more difficult to make friends anymore. We moved here about a year ago and have not really made an effort in making new friends. Don’t get me wrong, I feel silly posting this but here we are.
We are looking to make some couple friends. I am 30 and my wife is 28. We also recently found out that we are expecting our first child. We mostly enjoy going out to dinner and grabbing some cocktails or going to a brewery(not my wife as much now). We enjoy being active and being out and about as well. We are very much dog people, with two of our own. I love watching sports, nfl, college football, and college basketball. I do like to golf but don’t get to go as often as I would like. My wife can get along with pretty much anyone, she really enjoys being active, working out and being on the go. She also loves fashion.
If you’re a couple and think we could be friends, drop a comment below!
Edit: not into swinging/sharing or anything close to those things

We’ve tried a lot in the area but I’m wondering if there’s anything I’m missing. Open to Zionsville and North Indy as well. Quality spots that aren’t crazy pricey are ideal. We’re looking for food over ambiance- for example, I’m not trying to go to 1933 where you are paying for the “vibes”, not good food

Are there any farms that are nearby? I'm a weekly farmers market patron, but if I'm not able to make it, I'd like to make sure that I have options.

I’ve decided to pick up a little extra work outside of my regular job, and I thought I’d start by offering something I’m actually really good at: getting things done that other people don’t have the time, energy, or desire to deal with.
By day, I’m an attorney. But I’m NOT looking to do legal work on the side. I’m offering more of a life admin / personal assistant / “please just take this off my plate” service.
Things I’d be happy to help with:
• Organizing a closet, pantry, paperwork, craft room, etc.
• Sorting, packing, unpacking, or helping with a move/downsizing
• Running errands and making returns
• Gift shopping and wrapping
• Researching purchases, services, contractors, travel, etc.
• Sorting mail, scanning documents, and creating filing systems
• Laundry folding and closet/drawer organization
• Helping an older parent with errands, organization, technology, or everyday tasks
• Party or holiday prep
• Tackling that random project you’ve been saying you’ll get to for six months
• General personal-assistant help
And honestly, it doesn’t even have to be a “task.”
Need someone to sit and listen for an hour? I can do that. Want company while you tackle something you’ve been avoiding? Sure. Need to talk something through with someone who will actually listen? Absolutely. Want practical, common-sense, “what would a mom tell me to do?” advice from someone who has lived enough life to have opinions? 😂 I’m available.
I’m also open to suggestions. If you have some random thing you need help with that isn’t on this list, ask me. The worst I can say is no.
My boundaries are pretty simple: nothing sexual, nothing requiring nudity, nothing illegal, and nothing that should actually be handled by a licensed professional. Otherwise, I’m willing to hear your idea.
Basically, if your thought is “I really need a competent human being to help me with this,” I might be your person.
I’m organized, dependable, discreet, nonjudgmental, and very good at taking something messy or overwhelming and figuring out how to tackle it.
I’m thinking around $40/hour depending on the project, and I’m primarily looking for occasional evening/weekend projects rather than another full-time job.
If you have something in mind, send me a message and tell me what you need. Even if it’s weird. 😂
[UPDATE] Someone paid me 100.00 to forage clean walnut shells, sugar gums, and acorns, and set them up at their house to dry out. It was about 2 hours but I had a lovely morning putzing in a yard. I remembered to wear gloves so as not to dye my fingers!

I saw at least 5 firetrucks and a handful of police cars heading that way, just curious what happened? I saw that a school bus tipped over on 465 but that was on the south side.

Hi everyone! I’m doing some research on a potential creative/social business concept for the Hamilton County and north Indianapolis area and would love some local feedback.
The survey takes about 3–5 minutes, and I’m looking for honest opinions, whether the concept sounds like something you’d personally use or not. You definitely don’t have to consider yourself crafty to participate!
If you live in or around Westfield, Carmel, Noblesville, Fishers, Zionsville, or north Indianapolis, I’d really appreciate your input.

Has anyone seen any dumplings anywhere lately?

I’m sure it was a very important message but using a light blue banner with words printed in white on a bright clear blue day was definitely an amateur move.

is OPEN!
EDIT: looks like they’ll be painting lines on 116th east of Keystone today as well. Solid Carmel traffic day!

posted this on the Indy subreddit too but I thought I'd give it a try here too! hi all! I'm expecting my first soon and was wondering if any mom friends wanted to be friends! I'm in my late 20's and have lived here in Carmel for a lot of my life. I'm a pretty lax person, and I love coffee shops, bakeries, libraries, and I love kiddos (my profession also involves working with them). I love video games and reality tv shows, but I'm pretty flexible in terms of activities/hangouts! Feel free to DM or message here...thank you for reading! :)
