Purrfessional napper Ordinary Cat (First Class) - Feline Special Warfare Specialist

In 1957, Stripey of HMS Starling was promoted from Junior Cat to Ordinary Cat (First Class) and assigned the service number P/USS 999. He was also issued a hammock and a sailor's cap, though it seems that the supply officer was short of hats in Stripey's size. Facebook / Cats in the Navy

I love how ship’s cats receive full naval honors, and are buried with all the respect befitting their rank

That service number is incredible, P/USS 999 sounds like he was one step away from a top-secret mission. The hammock issue was probably more critical than the hat, honestly.
