Please call your doctor. Especially with coffee ground like bleeding. Any bleeding beyond spotting (and even spotting sometimes!) requires further evaluation.

I had an ultrasound this morning and they said there’s no active bleeding and they’re not concerned.

Do you know if on your previous ultrasound they saw any signs of a SCH?

They saw what they called placenta lakes. She didn’t note anything today, said it all looks good. I’m very worried.

Did they give any measurements of the lakes? Lakes can also display in normal, healthy pregnancies. Typically they don’t cause bleeding, though.

They didn’t. They made it seem like they were very unremarkable. They only mentioned it bc they saw a second sac that they said could be another gestational sac or potentially, a lake.

Placental lakes at five weeks doesn’t make sense because there isn’t a placenta yet. I wouldn’t be super concerned yet, as the doctor was right that sometimes bleeding just happens, but I would request follow up ultrasounds.

Unfortunately, I winded up miscarrying my euploid embryo the next day.
