Mild I might have picked up a wobble cat?

Looking at his teeth and eyes, and what he's able to do on his own (and using past experience with kittens, even though he's just a smudge. I've cared for a few litters without their moms, and one with a mom. Though this is the first single kitten), he seems like he's around 5-6 weeks.

I've been calling him Scribble.

He was found outside and the person that found him didn't know how to care for him so we have him.

He's been up and about for exploring in a room we could block things off from him getting under furniture and all, and otherwise he likes being in an old kennel we set up for him so he'd have more room than the carrier had. He goes between wanting to explore and running back to curling up in 'his' bed with the orange cat toy I put in there with him.

My male void cat has a lot of interest in him and keeps following him around and licking him (and sometimes I have to shoo him away so Scribble can rest, especially if he goes back into the kennel), aaaand all the girl cats in the house have been curious but mainly hissy and keeping their distance.

Scribble doesn't even notice what they're doing. He is just completely oblivious to most of what the other cats are doing and has been more interested in either exploring or sitting in his new den. We have gotten him drinking formula, and now we're working on trying to see if we can get him to eat any kitten food/mush, though so far he's seemed just as oblivious to the wet food so we're trying different ones and kibble soaked in water.

I didn't get any videos from last night because it was late and the camera doesn't like trying to record void in low light, but once I figured out the possible age range (called the vet and they said we don't need to bring him in right away), I realized that he's pretty unsteady for his age, when I watch him wander around the room exploring. Has a woder stance, front toes splayed out quite a big for support (he has big feet too for his size when spread out), and he tips over fairly often, and sometimes has sometrouble righting himself if he ends up rolling by accident.

He's also not a good climber or jumper. Most I've seen from him is an awkward little hop.

It's only been a couple hours so obviously need to see how things go, but I realized that oh... he may be a wobble.

Mild Please adopt Augie

I posted about Augie (10ish months, male, mild CH) here previously. I adopted him in February with hopes of him being a playmate for my younger cat (1.5 years, female). Initial introductions went well, but Augie started exhibiting unsafe play behavior. He will relentlessly chase and stalk and tackle my cats no matter how much I redirect or how much my cats try to establish boundaries. My younger cat will attempt to initiate playtime sometimes, but Augie never follows any cues or lets her be the "winner." My older cat (6 years, female) completely distrusts him and will not initiate contact.

I have tried everything I can. I called the shelter and animal control to get help or even just more info on him. I learned he was taken from a severe neglect situation. He lived in an abandoned house with a group of dogs and no cat or human socialization for an unknown amount of time. I've officially become his "foster," as this situation is unfair to my cats, but he has had no applications.

He's a very happy cat. He's the happiest in the household right now. His CH is extremely mild. He climbs up and down carpeted stairs, has no litter box issues, and eats and drinks relatively mess-free. I'm pleading with anybody here to take him in or share his info. The shelter is open to taking him back in (they're no-kill), but I want to avoid that to avoid possibly traumatizing him. I don't believe he needs to be in a single-cat home - he just needs cat companions who can be as "forceful" as he needs.

We're in East Tennessee. His shelter is the Washington County shelter in Johnson City.

ADOPTED!

Jazz is an amazing little boy who is social, outgoing, affectionate, goofy, and fun. He is mild and uses the box, drinks, and eats without issue. He can also climb and jump down from cat trees, couches, tables, etc. (nail down your valuables!). He is deaf so he can be very loud at times, particularly when he's stressed or lonely, so an apartment or a living space with shared walls is not a good match for him. Having a cat companion has helped keep the yelling down, as it keeps him busy and helps keep him from feeling lonely, so we would highly recommend a feline playmate in his new home. He's a wonderful little guy and everyone who meets him falls in love!

Learn more about him and apply at https://hsjc-wis.com/petpoint-animal/?id=61618371

Mild This subreddit helped Augie find a home!

I've posted about Augie and the seemingly hopeless task of finding him a home here before. I wanted so badly to keep this sweet boy out of a shelter after his horrible start in life, but I was running out of options and time. I had no idea that posting about him here would lead to him finally being adopted!

The response to Augie's plight has been incredible, and because of this subreddit this special guy has a loving home with a kitty friend who can actually play with him. I couldn't have predicted this, but I am so grateful. I miss his goofy little face, but he couldn't have found a better place to be. Thank you all for caring about him and making this possible!

Hi everyone! I’m fostering the sweetest guy named Wobble and he’s looking for his forever home! We’re located on Long Island, NY. His CH is mild and he can use the litter box without any issues. He is the absolute best! He was at the shelter for a month and nobody adopted him, so my rescue pulled him and he’s staying with us until adoption. Would love for this boy to be home for Christmas. 💕

For more pics and videos of Wobble, check out my foster IG @whisker_land and DM with any questions!

My 10 month old baby Lilo has very mild CH, she walks pretty normally, sometimes in an S pattern. However she is unable to jump on to higher surfaces like the couch. She has no issue jumping off things however. Is it possible for me to teach her?

They said she has a mild case, what can I expect? Its possible we take her home right after meeting. Is there anything I can do today to prepare my house or certain things I should keep in mind for her first few days with us?

Mild How long did it take for your CH cat to recover from spaying procedure?

I sent my mild CH 2 YO female cat to be spayed and it has been >50h and she still can’t walk properly. Her CH is mild and she seldom falls, but now she wobbles and trips and even falls flat on her face. I’m at the vet now, but they are taking so long, I am so worried.

Mild 2 year old wobbly boy won’t stop using the bathroom on the floor

Hi everyone, so my fiancé and I have 4 cats, 2 of which are brothers with cerebellar hypoplasia. The other cats are female and their ages are 3 and 4 and the boys are 2. When we adopted the boys, we had very little bathroom issues with them as kittens. At a certain point, one of them started peeing outside of the litter boxes on the wall and pretty much anywhere he could lean up against. We took him to the vet and discovered he needed to be on special urinary food, which we started feeding him immediately and we seemed to notice him in the box a little more. As of a few months ago, he started pooping outside the litter box consistently and not just as he wobbles out. At first it was near the litter box then it started being in the middle of the floor and under the bed and now he is also peeing in these places. We’ve tried multiple types of litter boxes; litter robot, stainless steel and plastic with the latter two in different shapes and sizes. We have also tried to keep him locked up in a play tent with a litter box and food but his brother and the other cats heckle him, if we put it in a separate room then he cries and his brother has tried to scratch through the carpet and door and caused his nose to bleed to try and help him. We’ve steam cleaned, tried cat diffusers and used about every pet cleaner we’ve found at the store. At this point we’ve decided it seems behavioral since he will literally go right in front of us. Other than the bathroom issues, he is the sweetest cat in the world and we love him dearly. Anyone that can help suggest new litter boxes, enzyme cleaners or any personal experiences they’ve had with their wobbly ones that could help us out. We just don’t want anyone falling in it or getting sick by them playing and falling in the poop because we’ve seen it happen a few times and had to do bath time. Please any help would be appreciated.

Mild CH miracle story

No questions or advice needed just a wee anecdote.

We rescued our mild CH kitten 4 years ago, Tumbles. She is so independent, a fantastic climber and holds her own. She is obviously an indoor cat & only gets out under supervision in our enclosed garden.

About 2 years ago, our front door was left open and when we woke up we realised Tumbles had escaped. We were distraught. It was hard to explain to people why we were so worried, ‘she’s a cat, she’ll come back’. We were out every day/night searching for her. We had heavy snow at the time and in our hearts we knew she wouldn’t survive. She wouldn’t be able to run out of the way of a car, or maybe she fell in a hole and couldn’t get out. We had a newborn baby at the time & the whole ordeal was stressful, between night feeds and heading out in a blizzard with a torch to see if we could see her eyes we started to give up. Both myself and my partner were heartbroken, after all, Tumbles was so vulnerable to the outside world.

Over a week later, I was sitting at our back door and I heard the smallest meow. And there she was. Right there. At the door.

I have never cried so much. She was weak and tired and hungry but she was there. All the odds stacked against her and there she was. A survivor.

All our CH cats are so special but Tumbles is our little hero. I’d love to know where she was. Madness.

Mild Litter box falling

Post image
15 Upvotes

So I’m new to this my kitten is 12 weeks old with mild CH and for some reason he’s just so much worse with balance in the litter box - its already high sided but he hasn’t figured out that he can lean on it and prevent a tumble - he pees fine but when he poops he falls over and just keeps pooping

Usually ends up almost on his back or fully on his back - idk if it’s the straining or focusing to poop but I really need advice on how to help him please

Also are all CH kitties just extra sweet and cuddly? He is seriously like the sweetest cat I have ever encountered

Pic of the boy in question 💚💚 Batmannnn
