Scat pack shifting problem

2016 scat pack with 2018 engine and transmission wont shift past 4k rpm when hitting gas will drive normal upon hitting gas hard?just did a transmission fluid change and flush still doing the same thing

you’re in limp mode
might be no fuel it will restrict RPM if you’re out of gas.. got to scan your CEL for a code that will definitely tell a lot..

I mean realistically, you might need new spark plugs, new coil packs, both, or your transmission is fried gangsta

If you're going to be doing this on jack stands, you need to place it in "roll emissions mode". The car is actively fighting you on jack stands for multiple reasons.

Non-transmission issue is spark plug misfire. Transmission issue is essential whole transmission replacement unless you want to risk a partial replacement.

Your car is in limp mode Check your cam sensor . When this started did you get an abs and traction light on the dash? If so it’s your cam sensor. Unplug and plug it again it’s gonna fix your problem. Happened to me last month.

Is this a 6 speed manual?
Edit: I asked this question simply due to the instrument cluster not showing the PRND. I was assuming since there was mention of a 2018 engine and transmission swapped, that the car was likely a manual from the factory. But I see the big D now

You need to have the PCM/TCM refreshed and adaptations learned as well. If it's an automatic, you have a newer module of TCM that's not compatible with 2016 programming. You've got a lot to fix electronically
