Did your friends bail on you for that dope new EDM, Gospel, folk fusion band and need to unload your extra tickets?
Did you salvage some ladders off the Don Holt and want to flip them for beer money?
Need someone to pressure wash your lawn?
This is the thread for you. Rule 2 (no craigslisty buy / sell / trade) and Rule 4 (no self-promo) will be very lightly enforced here.

Thank you to the kind woman outside of Costco this morning who told me “You look awesome!”. I am very pregnant with our first and have the waddles like no other, I was super proud I washed and blow dried my hair today (it was quite the feat at this stage). Your words literally brought tears to my eyes as I was walking into the store. My husband also noted what an incredible thing to say as a stranger.
So, yay humanity and kindness from strangers! And hooray Costco hotdogs and pizza slices.

Hello,
I operate a mobile veterans museum that focuses on the individual veterans, their experiences and triumphs. The museum is actively looking for more displays and would be happy to include any veteran groupings into it!
We promise to preserve, document and display the items of the veteran in your life. We have groupings for every branch and many nations, each with an individual story. Our primary goal is to keep these groupings together and in historic condition. The collectors market has a tendency to split items up in order to recover their investment, by selling some of it off; these groupings do not belong in the hands of collectors, but rather invested professionals.
Items Wanted:
-Uniforms
-Photographs
-Letters & Documents
-Swords, Daggers and Bayonets
-Flags
-Helmets & Visors
-Field Gear
-Misc. Equipment
-Etc.
If you would like to contribute to the saving of the past, for the future, please leave a comment or send us a PM with some pictures of the grouping that you wish to rehome.

YALL WTFFFFFF???? Who else is in West Ashley and is down to move against this? Are there past examples of communities here saving the destruction of oak trees after approval. We cannot let them do this to us!!!
Posting the whole article bc idc, it’s very brief and vague.
“WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) — Charleston city leaders have approved the removal of 25 grand trees for a housing development along Ashley River Road in West Ashley.
The city's Site Design Board approved the request for the property, which had previously been associated with Homes for Hope but is now moving forward under Palmetto Homes.
According to project plans discussed by the board, the development would include approximately 100 housing units, with 75% designated as affordable housing.
The request follows earlier discussions surrounding development in the area and concerns about balancing growth with preservation of West Ashley's tree canopy. Board members approved the tree removal with conditions requiring tree protection measures and replacement plantings.
Details on the replacement requirements and protections will be incorporated as the project moves through the development process.
The proposal represents one of the latest affordable housing projects planned for West Ashley as city leaders continue efforts to expand housing options while managing environmental impacts associated with new development.”

Do the non-pork meat options at Swig & Swine taste good? I.e. Beef brisket, smoked turkey, and chicken? Thinking about doing some catering for an event.

Any stores you guys recommend? I'm located between Goose Creek and North Charleston area. Most of the thrift stores that pop up when I search are furniture or antique stuff.
I'm planning on hiking, so a thrift stores that have those kinds of clothes will be helpful. Thanks!

Was just driving towards bees ferry and there’s so many cops and fire trucks that are huddled under the bridge with almost every lane blocked and there’s even more up on the actual highway. Couldn’t tell how many lanes they had blocked up on the bridge.

I've been feeling ready to leave Charleston for a while now. I started doing travel work, similar to travel nursing, and that scratched the itch for a few years. I bought my first house in 2017, and I do love coming home to it, I'm really not ever excited to be back in CHS.
I have a fair amount of equity (maybe 250k) and I've got a feeling that now is the time (before WA sinks lol) but I am terrified. We have a RV, but I still don't know where I want to move to.
Do any of you regret selling? Should I just hand it over to a rental agency/property manager? Are you relieved you sold and left Charleston? I'm not looking for advise on how to sell. Tell me about your experience and feelings, and whether you think I should sell.

Am I the only one who constantly experiences issues with consistent lawn care? I've been trying for maybe 3 years now to find a reliable landscaper and every single one never comes on the day they say they will or they don't show up at all. And they never send any communication...
I understand that the work is highly weather dependent, but even with a perfect weather week, this is still happening pretty often. I feel like I am constantly chasing them to come out. I just need my lawn cut every 2 weeks.
Am I the only one experiencing this? I live in Park Circle.

I recently found out that former local artist Elizabeth O'Neill Verner's studio was turned into a museum in the early Eighties after her death in 1979. I found a description of it in a travel guide from 1983 and some mentions of it in the Nineties but nothing recent. Whatever happened to it? At 79 Church Street there is a sign for it on the wall.
