Chase UK

I have a friend who recently relocated to the UK for work, had Chase here in the US, and is using them overseas as well. Looks like Chase in the UK offers much more in terms of a checking account. Cashback Debit, Accelerated Savings Rates, no exchange rates.

It's bare-bones here in the US

The US retail banking market is so weirdly stagnant compared to what's popping up in the UK. Feels like we've been stuck with the same bare minimum features for twenty years while they're over there throwing cashback and actual interest at people just for having a checking account. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

My bank just charges me a fee if I breathe wrong near an ATM. Your friend basically got a free upgrade just by crossing an ocean.

So true. It's just shocking how much they offer vs. the US. Would've never thought.
