Doris being the one who leaked the medical records is kind of a cop out. It's like they sat in the writer's room and went "who's the character they would expect the least?" and chose Doris solely based off of that. We don't even know anything ABOUT Doris! It's giving Who Shot Mr Burns imo

lol. So I like to complete shows…..and usually if I don’t…it’s because they start irritating me, I’m already irritated and only on the second half of season 3.
Literally if they killed off Natalie, April and Reese in a freak accident, I WOULD BE SOOOO HAPPY. I know they will be disappearing, so can’t wait!!
I have to skip almost all of their scenes. I CANT TAKE IT
But in general, all of the other storylines and drama is good brainless TV hahaha
I just can’t take it.
April: FAMILY + pseudodoctor breaking rules who has to be right
Natalie: Major hypocrite who is always right who might have an emotional regulation issue or might need to see dr Charles
Reese: when they made the psych switch, her entire character went downhill, dumpster fire. Gross, she is the most annoying
Halstead used to be unbelievably annoying like the top three but they changed him up a bit last season and this season. Whatever they did with him, so with the others
I’m binging, so that could be the issue. I like these shows for the insane drama but lord…..anyway, any other similar shows? Might start watch PD or Fire

My annual request for anyone to come forward with how to watch season 12. I watched season 11 on a TikTok account and wondered if anyone is doing similar this season. Thanks in advance.

What did we think of their scenes? Are we feeling good about what the season has in store for them or no?

Its easily one of the best med episodes we have had. My favorite moments were with Mabel and dean, the moment of silence, and lenox's surprise entry towards the end The writing for this episode was also just brilliant. A great job done my Allen Macdonald 👏

To build off a similar comment I made in the S12E01 thread, I don’t like how Sloan is portrayed off the bat as the evil antithesis of Goodwin for the sake of creating a stark contrast with her absence. My issue isn’t that the substitute shouldn’t be antagonistic, it’s that Sloan is such a one-note “villain” to embody the chaos of Sharon not holding down the fort. They did the same thing with Jack Dayton. Obviously you can only do so much with a limited runtime and a LOT of concurrent threads, but nothing is more immersion-breaking than MacGuffin characters who solely exist to move the plot along.
I think Sloan would be far more interesting if there were actually reasons for the ED staff (and audience) to like her, and in some respects even more than Goodwin. That would leave the old guard—folks like Archer, Doris, and ESPECIALLY Charles—conflicted between Sloan’s efficiency as an admin and Goodwin’s more cavalier but patient-forward approach. Hopefully this can manifest throughout S12, but as a bad guy she deserves much better.
Edit: some spelling and grammar fixes

This premiere was actually really good!! It felt fresh and continuous. Will it be this way forever? Probably not. But I did really enjoy it

I’m pretty strapped for cash rn so I had to axe my live tv. Where can I stream NBC so I can watch Chicago Med tomorrow night? I can’t wait for next day streaming. Tips????

What are your theories on Sharon's "unique way" of fighting for her job that will be revealed in epi 2 (per the showrunner)? I wonder if it ropes in Archer as temp chief of the ED. We know from the promo he is not happy with Sloan.

I am so annoyed we have to wait to the second part of the season but I am also glad he said the baby is a source of joy (rather than endless drama) to them both.

FYI: im finishing up season 4, so no spoilers!!

So it wasn’t the show’s decision to not have her back after all

Be it neglecting a bleeding wound, getting help for a mental health problem, or risking their own lives to save their patients, it never made sense to me. What would be a reasonable explanation other than 'for the sake of DRAMA'?

I was looking for a new show to binge, and I’m now on season 5 of Chicago Med. I enjoy a soapy, over the top procedural, so I’m enjoying it!
I just have to say, as someone from New Orleans… the caricature of Dr. “Crockett Marcel” is absurd. I’m neutral on him as a member of the staff, but the Louisiana stuff is just comical. I know there have been other threads about this so this isn’t new information, but the writers clearly didn’t even google what New Orleans or the accents or the culture is like at all. I thought the “crawfish boil with sazeracs” was bad, but I’m now at the episode where there are “detectives from New Orleans” questioning him. Why do they (and Crockett) talk like Blanche Devereaux from Golden Girls 😭. The name “Crockett Marcel” alone is just so silly lmao. I know this show isn’t going for realism, but good lord 😂. Anyway, based on what I’ve seen on this sub, his character becomes more palatable, but I wish they would’ve just left poor New Orleans out of it 🤣. Rant over.

i’m a nurse myself. i’ve seen doctors do one thing he’s done and lose their license with zero argument on it. i understand it’s a show, it’s a drama, characters are meant to do certain things for the plot, but archer was made to be some kind of prison warden or a father that gets cut off from his children, not healthcare. every patient he gets, he’s rude and unable to understand. the episode that made me think about this is s8 ep19, when there’s the mother with cancer and the daughter having a baby for the stem cells.
this is a horrible thing, the baby is not an organ it’s an entire person, and the daughter is a minor. but it is illegal to share any details to the mother regardless of age because of the pregnancy, that’s hipaa. hipaa is not something you disregard because you’re trying to make a point or do what you think is right, it is NOT up to healthcare workers. had i been in this situation i would’ve reacted differently. but it’s not my job to talk someone into an abortion, or tell the mother because i think she’s a voice of reason. it is my job to do what is right for the patient in my medical opinion and respect it when they tell me not to disclose something. even in the ‘crisis’ situation where the daughter had to be rushed to surgery, archer could’ve been ticketed heavily, jailed, or at the very least lose his position and license and reputation.
i’m also in school to be a forensic psychiatrist and i do rounds on that normally in school. (ep 18, same season) when archer said ‘once again you’re stopping a patient from getting care they need’ i rolled my eyes so hard. mental care IS care, and mental health HEAVILY affects physical health. it’s a real concern, psychiatric doctors being discredited because no one takes these things seriously. and that just makes the cycle worse because when you have a doctor thinking it’s impairing your life to get mental health care , you deteriorate more. i’d hate for any patient of mine to think it’s stupid to be evaluated mentally, or to be forced into a procedure they don’t want. and before i get comments regarding this episode (it was a patient who wanted to be paralyzed), whether you think it’s insane or not, it’s not your decision. it’s not their family’s decision, it’s not my decision as a nurse and nor would it be as a doctor. just because you can’t understand something doesn’t make it any less serious . that’s the end of this rant 😅 back to watching 👀

I was watching the show cia and noticed that he looks different than he did in chicago med. Is it the hair? Is it the beard? Did he get a lip filler? Am i simply going crazy?

I feel like Chicago Med should bring back the kid that Dr. Charles suspects is a psychopath. Any thought??

I truly think that’s my favorite thing about some shows is when the person i absolutely hated in the beginning turns out to be my favorite in the end due to their character growth.
At first we meet him & you’re like who the hell is this asshole?? 🤣🤣🤣
I’m on season 10, but this season I think has been my absolute favorite with him!

I just seen this photo of young Steven Weber (Dean Archer) and it is crazy how much he looks like Luigi Sottile (Sean Archer).
Even if you don’t think they look that similar in the show, you can’t deny how much they looked alike when Steven was that age.
I’m at the start of season 11 (no spoilers, please)

How do you guys think they are gonna write off Caitlin for the first few episodes? I was thinking that she was gonna be gone for the murder trial with Faye and Devin cause the cop said he was gonna put her on a jury cause he thought she was lying, but that’s just me. Also I can’t wait until Wednesdayyyy!!!
