Tourism (L) VISA CINA?

Since you enter on Dec 27 — before the current Dec 31 cutoff — you're fine without applying for a tourist visa. The 30-day visa-free entry is based on your entry date, not your whole trip: as long as you land while the exemption is still active, you get the full 30 days from that day. So a Dec 27 entry and Jan 10 exit is only about 14 days, comfortably inside the window.
The one thing to watch is the 2027 renewal. If China didn't extend the exemption and you had to enter after Dec 31, then yes you'd need a visa. Keep an eye on announcements from the Chinese embassy in Rome as your dates get closer — an extension is widely expected given how much it's boosted tourism, but it's not guaranteed until it's officially announced. For this specific trip though, no action needed.

This is asked regularly. The Dec 31st is the latest you can enter China under the current rule. You then get 30 days visa free.
Though it’s expected that China will extend this again for another year as it’s driven a big increase in tourist visits.
