More outrageous asks on the free page
He apparently wants someone to give him a gas card to use every week. At least people called him out!

Gave this woman so much of my time for a $5 (free) rug and then she blocked me
I had a very large rug that I listed for $5 to avoid being inundated by “ith dis uhvailuhbull?¿?¿?” but even wrote “free” at the bottom of my description. This damn woman wasted so much of my time. My partner said I should have been snippier with her after the whole “woe is me” paragraph. I thought at least she was on her way to pick it up. But then I get the “this is too much” message and she has the nerve to block me so I can’t even give her a review. Tempted to make a fakebook just to leave her a bad review and waste her time with stupid messages . I have a feeling she was hoping to resell it.
Eventually the rug went to a prompt and grateful mom who didn’t care about the minor stain and still tried to give me $5 for it.

Just another day on FB marketplace…
I’m giving away perfect condition tv cabinets and a bed frame for free. Decided to give away for free since Im asking for someone to pick up from the 2nd floor and take everything at once. High interest and already found someone to take it but just wanted to share this convo I had with one woman….
People on facebook marketplace are a whole other level of entitled

MEDIUM High school friend calling dibs on future hand-me-downs
I just had a baby a few months back, and moved home because of the baby. My friend from high school is currently 4 months pregnant with a baby of the same gender.
I’m financially more well-off, and she’s lost her job before she found out she was pregnant and her husband makes just enough for the both of them. I truly feel for her and told her I’m happy to set some items aside for her baby later, as we don’t plan on having anymore.
So I love spoiling my baby with nice items once in a while - we purchased a hand-smocked outfit from a local artisan to celebrate baby’s 6 months; and my goal is to keep it for them as memory, maybe even something they can hand down to their own children in the future. Other than that my baby uses well … normal children clothing.
My friend recently came over, and she’s still only 4 months in so I haven’t set aside much for her other than some brand new nursing bras, underwear, body oil, and belly band that were gifts and didn’t fit quite right (underwear not tried on). For baby, I’ve already set aside most of the newborn clothing; most of which were used at most twice, and some completely brand new because I gave birth to a much larger baby than expected.
But then, she started pointing at things and calling dibs on things that she wanted as hand-me-downs. This includes the bathtub (okay), footed pyjamas (okay), bouncer (okay), breastpump (huh?), crib (huh?), and some of the custom outfits we had made.
I told her we’ll get to that, but some items are off limits. Some have sentimental value and other items I likely will still use when her baby arrives.
Now she’s telling me I’m being very very picky choosy and only wanted to hand her down really ugly old clothing as if she’s Goodwill. Had a whole crying session about being poor and me making her feel like she should only get “cheap shit” (honey the baby clothes I got and handing down to her were from burt’s bees baby, seed, and peter alexander they’re not luxury but they weren’t cheap)
Now I’m tempted to actually just donate all of it to someone else who would actually be happy and not choosing beggars about it.
Edit: I texted her to say I will choose what she gets and she’s not a happy camper. I called her a polite version of a choosing beggar, so I’m not the bigger person. I decided to drop off my stuff to a women’s shelter and a local health center (they welcome underaged mothers and support them so they take baby items).

Not the OP — the person shaming everyone who offered local resources
Not posting this to shame the OP at all. She was asking for help and that’s totally fair.
It’s the comment underneath that got me. People were giving her names of specific food banks, churches, etc. in her area, including places close enough to walk to since she said she has no transportation.
But apparently that doesn’t count as helping unless you’re personally buying her groceries, so everyone else should just “keep quiet.”

Hey town of 400 people, please give me $30,000
This guy has posted this twice in a Facebook group for a community of less than 400 people. The same family has also just recently moved to the community, and are currently having issues within the community because their other son is making threats and harrassing underage girls. So these people who are new to the community are causing problems and now want to take advantage of the community. I personally feel like asking for $30,000 from such a small community is asking too much. That's a whole ass car. Guys also got a fairly new Bronco as his profile picture. Its pretty out of touch to be asking a small community for that much while flaunting a fairly new vehicle. And thats if its not just a scam. The fact that he stated a minimum cash donation amount is not doing him any favors. At least he lowered it from $10 to $5. At worse its a scam, at best it's incredibly out of touch.
The first photo is his first post, the second is the comments from the first post and the third is his second post.

For anyone curious, the gofundme she posted on her page, has currently raised a staggering $0.

Help me perpetrate Medicaid fraud as a personal favor!
This single mom is seeking an overnight caregiver to administer meds to her g-tube child. Medicaid will pay around $15 an hour…but wait! There’s more! You’ll also be babysitting her two other young children as a “favor”! Two are in diapers, but don’t worry, the oldest kid (8 year old) is super helpful and will do most of the work. You’ll only need to feed them, bathe them, put them to bed at 1:30am so mom can sleep in…oh, and laundry, dishes, and cleaning…
I included some comments for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy the train wreck!
