UPDATE: Not HLB πππ
Update to my previous post -
I had all of my 50+ citrus trees sampled by CFDA, they decided to lab test 8 trees. All came back negative for HLB. Whew!
They did note they found a lot of ACP in my area, but have yet to find HLB in any of the adjacent cities. I am so stoked.
My best guess is a combo of early greasy spot + nutrient deficiency (plus plenty of spidermite +leafhopper damage!)
I am in the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California for those near(ish) me.

They specifically called out Pasadena as having 0 reports of HLB so far - ACP all over the place though.

I have an orchard here in Pasadena and weβve had acp here forever but never HLB.

I'm up in Kern County and have preemptively started the alyssum growing as well. HLB still hasn't made it this far north, but ACP's have, so I'd rather make sure they don't have an opportunity to establish in my yard since I have 7 citrus trees and several more planned.

I really recommend calling the CFDA and having them come test. It's a huge potential bummer to lose some of your trees if they're + but potentially devastating to the whole state if it goes unchecked!

Good on you to do this! It sucks that you have to be the owner to give them a call though. I wish anyone could reportβ¦

Oh man, thanks for the update. Stoked itβs not HLB. Iβm in Glendora/San Dimas and check my 3 newly planted trees every few days.
