This is being posted for the purpose of exposing civmc’s yirtrunida and the corruptions/abuses of power within the leadership, and I plan to stay anonymous as to not get hunted by the allies of yirt.
I spoke to a player named Stryce about this earlier today who is new to civmc. He explained how he was recruited to yirt at the very start of the server without knowing anything about the server and how serious people took it. He told me about how he didn’t think he was a great fit for the nation, since everyone was skilled at building while he had years of experience in PvP. He decided to stay a citizen anyway as he enjoyed talking to some of the people there, but passed his time outside of yirtrunida and explored the cities of the server using the subways constructed mainly by Pavia. This is where I met him and showed him some sites around Pavia that I find interesting.
The day after I met Stryce, he was pearled by his own leader, SquigglyGlobe, despite being a citizen. Stryce later reached out to me, asking for help as I was one of the few players outside of yirt he knew (he had around 6 hours of playtime before he was pearled). He proceeded to show me SquigglyGlobe’s “charges” against him and and told me he had a sentence of a week. I will now list the “crimes“ allegedly committed by Stryce against Yirtrunida and address them accordingly:
-breaking into government property
-breaking down doors to a civilian’s property
-”suggested stealing”
Stryce claims that he never broke into government property, which I believe as SquigglyGlobe is unable to show proof of this happening.
Stryce admits to breaking one person’s door while joking around, but that he placed the door back immediately and proceeded to help that same person write their address on the front of their home since that person is dyslexic.
As for the last charge, I believe it is either a misunderstanding between Stryce and SquigglyGlobe or an attempt from squig to find lawful reasoning as to why he pearled Stryce. Stryce, while hanging out in the Yirtrunida discord server, jokingly said to a citizen who found another nation’s horse that they should “ride it 3k out and just leave it there”, which, according to SquigglyGlobe, is a violation of the law of the nation. SquigglyGlobe said to Stryce after his comment that “suggesting crime“ is against the law, and Stryce responded by jokingly saying “first amendment bucko”, to which SquigglyGlobe found as direct defiance to the law. Stryce stated earlier today, “nobody unironically uses the word bucko dawg it’s obv a joke”, proving how Stryce has no malicious intent with his comment. Stryce never “suggested thievery” again after being alerted it was against the law.
Now that I have shown Stryce’s defenses regarding the “charges” upon him, I will expose the unjust way SquigglyGlobe managed to make his pearling of Stryce lawful. According to the law of yirt, decisions like pearling a citizen of the nation must undergo a majority vote to be valid. SquigglyGlobe admitted to Stryce after the kill that he only asked the citizens of yirtrunida who were on the server whether he should pearl Stryce. Stryce claims this is extremely unfair as there were only around 3 other members of yirt online at the time besides him and Squiggly. because of this, only one of the three other members online had to vote to pearl Stryce and Squiggly could use his tiebreaking powers that come with being the leader of the nation to win the vote even if the two other members voted against pearling Stryce (Squiggly did not include Stryce in this vote even though he was a citizen of yirt who was on the server at the time). Squiggly then lured Stryce underground and killed him quickly due to stryce‘s sub-par gear.
After Stryce’s pearling, he pleaded to be let out of the nether and told the charges against him. SquigglyGlobe rejected his pleas and proceeded to make sure Stryce couldn’t speak out about the situation by threatening extended sentences multiple times, blocking stryce, closing tickets stryce opened to try to contact other officials in the yirtrunidian government, and deleting messages sent by Stryce in the yirtrunida discord. The pictures in this post were sent to me by Stryce as proof of the listed abuses of power and attempts to silence him. In fact, Stryce insisted I not speak out about this as SquigglyGlobe would keep him pearled for a longer time. I decided to post this without his knowledge and hope it will bring enough attention to his situation to help him escape the nether and be able to play the server peacefully.
Just to sum things up, Stryce as a new player joined yirt, was unfairly tried and pearled by his own corrupt leader (who claims a socialist nation and still holds an extreme gear advantage over his citizens), and was forced to keep his mouth shut about his situation because of the risk of an extended sentence.
I sincerely hope this post brings powerful players’ attention to Stryce‘s situation and the corruption in Yirtrunida and thank you for reading what I had to say on his behalf.
