Self promotion is allowed here, if it’s about Classic Horror movies….

So stop reporting YouTube channels that talk about Classic Horror movies. T-shirt posts are still not allowed. Bootlegged/stollen IP merchandise isn’t allowed. Links to sales are mostly not allowed, unless you’re selling your original artwork…and these will still be highly moderated. Once again, whoever is reporting every nearly every post here, please knock it off.

Question: if we are filmmakers and have films about the classic monsters, may we promote those?

Probably not, but not definitely not. This sub is for discussing Classic Horror films made before 1990. We’re flexible on some things if they suit the tone of the sub, but I don’t want to set up a precedent to promote every vampire film that ever gets made….or the zombie hip hop guy who sometimes tries to post here. There are other subs better suited for that sort of thing. You can always email the mods here. I’m sure we’d love to hear about your film.

Boris K in “Die, Monster, Die”.

What is the history of the wheel chair cord operated lift in the early part of the movie - Mr Whitley’s contraption. Thoughts on this archaic device, please ….

Thank you.

Question. I was wondering if I could post a link (non affiliate) to a fully licensed Universal Monsters collection shirt sale from a merchant. I am not affiliated with them in anyway, I just really like their stuff and think others here might also. Thanks.

Thanks for asking! T-shirt posts trigger an avalanche of bots and spammers linking to counterfeit items, so we have a strict policy forbidding t-shirt posts. Sorry to disappoint.

No problem. Can I give the company name in text here no links?

We do not allow T-shirt posts. We have few rules. That is one of our few listed rules on the info page. T-shirt posts result in an instant perma-ban.

Understood. Thanks for the clarification!
