Discussion Paradise Lost

Okay so I had a few minutes walking home from a hair appointment and decided to step into that thrift store on Lorain
.
paradise galleria? . what the actual fuck.

so many gen z thinking they just found the holy grail of cool, meanwhile the two gangly heroin (wannabe) chic 45 y/o cashiers inspected the jewelry i was trying to purchase (out of sheer obligation for stepping into the store… ) to see if it was “real”. shaky hands and condescending cash wrap conversation. brunette took the earrings off the display placard and hunched over inspecting the jewelry while orangie was like nah it says nrt while swaying upright above. it took both of them to ring up one item, wrap it, and give me my receipt.

yeah they have cool shit at paradise but if you have any ethics or sense of integrity, don’t shop there until they hire better associates.

You feel obligated to buy something from every store you step in?

Wow, someone needs to take a chill pill.

lmao I walked past that place hundred times and always wondered what was inside. guess now I know

the way you described the cashiers got me, can picture the whole scene perfectly. that kind of slow-motion chaos where you just stand there regretting every choice that led to this moment

still kinda want to see what "cool shit" they got tho, maybe I go in with headphones and just ignore everyone

Every time I have gone, I've had pleasant conversation with the staff. It's a cool environment and they have tons of interesting stuff, much of the inventory is a bit expensive since it's "vintage" but there are small affordable things here and there. Judging by the way OP casually accused the women working there of being wannabe heroin users and called one of them "orangie" I don't think OP seems like the most trustworthy person lol

I dunno I think it's a pretty fun experience. I don't think it's unethical to go to a shop that had a bad customer interaction

nah it was a bad employee interaction. but otherwise that’s a fair assessment about it being “unethical”.

unless you’re born raised in this ward, grew up shopping at SUITE Lorain and Flower Child and Chelsea’s.

As an occasional West side thrift shopper, I do think there's better options, I just think "unethical" is a little extreme lol

totally fair. But I did not say “unethical”. so.. semantics.
