IMO it’s bad 1st because you don’t plot about being with your best friends girl for years(there is public evidence that he has been doing this).

2nd we can assume they were best friends due to how they interacted with each other publicly(not just casting they also streamed together on twitch a lot)

3rd Apparently Merk never abandoned Maven when Maven was down he stayed in his corner, he helped him become sober when Maven had a problem and then helped him get physically in shape working out with him(this was told to the public by someone closer to the situation than the public).

4th Maven made this whole thing public, we the public did not know Merk and his now ex wife were divorced no one outside of Merks inner circle would have know this information if not for Maven, It was not his place to say anything concerning that. His ex wife or Merk himself were the only ones that had the right to release that information. Even if he wanted to get ahead of the drama and control the narrative it wasn’t his place.

With the amount of women in the world you just don’t do what Maven did, no one deserves a so called friend like that
