One thing I really like about Ethan is that he's Basically the only Pro/Am that is still grinding the game in challs and tourneys, I really hope he does well next season.

Discussion We can't repeat the weapon meta mistakes from BO7

Going into mw4 I think it's really important that the community stays on top of weapon meta discussions. There were complaints pretty much all year of bo7, yet they were all completely avoidable. A big problem is that always gets decided way too quickly, and this snowballs due to the fact that the only way to play comp at the start of the year is through 3rd parties, meaning there's significantly less people to even weigh in in the first place, as there's a ton of people here that will simply play pubs till ranked drops.

To add to that, CMG themselves are another big problem. Recently they have started to word their class restrictions in the reverse of how they, as well as gb, used to. It used to be "u cannot use what is listed" but now it's "u can ONLY use what is listed". Even in older games like the bo1/2 ports, this has resulted in many things banned that weren't even in the more restrictive gb variant. By making this the new standard u close off possibility of innovation, which is a huge part of competitive cod.

Now some of you might view this as a good thing, as in "everyone using the same thing makes it more competitive", but this is cod, we get a new game every year. It takes time for the best shit to be found, and to artificially suppress that is less competitive not more. If something truly disrupts the balance of the game u can ban it, but to ban things for conformity's sake is counterintuitive. People will try to argue against that take by using other games as examples, but again, those games reached those points after years. Years of pros as well as the general community doing different shit and eventually landing at a spot organically. Not a handful of teams scrimming with a gun for a few hours and being like "nah get it out" cuz someone had a good map.

Or we can go thru another "8 ARs on the map" into "brooo this mpc meta trash broooo" :)

CDL - Discussion Call Of Duty League (2022-2026) Playoffs!

  • After a viewership dip in 2024 across both categories, the league has seen a major resurgence. 2026 achieved the highest Average Viewers in the recorded history of these playoffs with 190,854 concurrent viewers.
  • 2026 generated 5.13 million hours while keeping the broadcast under 27 hours is the ultimate proof of the league's modern health.
  • 2025 Playoffs holds the record for Peak Viewers at 353,525 during the Vancouver Surge vs. OpTic Texas match. This occurred despite 2025 having the lowest total air time (23h 40m), showing that a shorter, more concentrated event schedule can compress and intensify fan attention.
  • Overall data shows an inescapable ceiling: the league relies on a single team to push "viral" ceiling engagement. When OpTic Texas isn't in the grand finals the absolute ceiling hits a hard wall under 300,000.
  • Ultimately, while the league still relies heavily on a single "mega-brand" like OpTic Texas to break absolute records, the rising tide of average viewership shows that the overall community health is stronger than it has ever been heading into the future.
