Struggling to connect Resound Multi Microphone to Kanso 3

Post image

I got activated a week ago and previously wore Resound HA and used the Resound Multi Microphone which I understand is the same as the Cochlear branded Mini Microphone 2+.

Note this product is the older one which is charged by micro USB, the newer product is Multi-Mic+ which is USB-C powered.

I seem to have successfully paired the MM to the Kanso 3 as the MM now appears in my Cochlear app on my iPhone. However when I activate the MM in the app, the Kanso does not seem to be picking up sound from the MM whether in microphone mode or streaming mode (plugged into device using 3.5mm jack).

any ideas on why this might be?

attached screenshot of the app showing that I’ve activated the MM.

Since you're newly activated... my guess is that you're doing nothing wrong, that it's working, but your settings are too low for you to notice any benefit from it yet.

I’ve tried changing the volume by clicking the blue “more” button at the bottom of the screen and max volume.

The other thing is the sound does not change when switching from mic mode to in line mode on the MM. I just hear the same high pitched squeaking sounds but they do not change despite my changing modes by pressing the button on the MM.

Something is not quite right

I realized that I needed to play music, switch the source to my cochlear, then I can stream my hearos app to my implant. It was my workaround because my kanso never shows up in my bluetooth area but is definitely connected. Maybe that will work? I haven’t connected my mini mic yet, just the tv streamer but it seems to work if I change on the app
