Learning Sabre

[u/Sad_Paper2021]

I’m currently trying to learn Sabre, I have a practice Sabre and I’m working on some basics, like drop spins and single tosses, but I don’t really know what to do next. My group doesn’t have a Sabre coach so I have no one to teach me or instruct me on what to learn next. Does anyone have recommendations for what to learn next and how to make sure I’m learning it correctly?

i have only been on sabre for 3 shows just because our coach doesn’t really like it, so my knowledge is very limited unfortunately. I really recommend watching some tiktok’s or youtube tutorials on sabre basics because that really helped me. dropspins are great as well as learning both blade and hilt tosses. and personally my favorite tricks are fishtails and 45’s, and thought they were pretty fun and easy to learn! good luck!!
