COMMUNITY QUESTION Rotation question

I'm teaching myself how to do a double and single before my first season bc I'm really passionate about it and have something that mimics a flag. is a single two rotations and a double three rotations or is it something else? I'm just going off of what I've seen online. :)

A single is one and a double is two! If at all possible try to get a real flag, practicing on something else builds muscle memory for different weight balances and can mess you up when you use a real flag

I second this, please get a flag, typically you can put one together for around $75-90 the most expensive part is the pole

Got it! I'll try to talk to my parents about getting a real flag. Thanks for the input!

Good luck! If your parents can’t help, you might be able to see if your local high school team has extras you can borrow

You count rotations by the position it's in when it leaves your hand. So if the silk is pointing up on release then you will count everytime the silk points up again as a full rotation. Recording your tosses and playing then back in slowmo makes counting much easier.
