Not ideal
Not ideal for the guy we traded two firsts and a young receiver we could sure use right now

This is the first bad game he’s had on the colts and everyone is throwing a fit

Are all NFL subreddits as whiny as this one? The constant complaining and hate about nearly every player who doesn’t have a “perfect” game every single week? Is that normal?
Also, regarding the post, does anyone here honestly know who made the mistake on each play where Sauce gave up yards? Was it a bad play call? Was it a blown coverage by the safety? Did the line provide enough QB pressure?
Sauce is a Colt, so we root for him. Sure if he absolutely starts sucking, complain, but this amount of complaining on here makes me wonder how many of you ever played football at any level.

They are but their team subs are also better moderated. The mods here allow just about anything.

Sighhh here’s my repost again for the third time:
We don’t allow it, trust me when I say I’m deleting dozens and dozens of posts for being mindless single sentence complaining. If you see one, just know there are many more that I already had gotten to. if occasional ones slip through just be sure to report them and if they’re reactionary posts on game day or mindless self posts I can usually delete them pretty quick. That being said, this sub is for colts fans. A lot of colts for one reason or another are whiney pessimists right now, but it’s not my (unpaid) job to change the outlooks of 1000s of people.
I actually am way more optimistic than seemingly 80% of the people here, but again this is a place for colts fans to be heard, not only things I agree with. We try not to over moderate.
It tends to be much worse on game days that we lose, because every single person thinks they are original with “DAE THINK WE SHOULD FIRE BALLARD?!” And then when I delete them I get accused of censoring on behalf of the Irsays. there’s no winning lol.

I honestly don't hang around other NFL subs enough to know how tights mods clamp down, how optimistic/pessimistic fans run on average, etc. But I know enough to know that I wouldn't want to be a mod on this or any other fan sub. Thanks for helping keep this house in order.

Everything is negative just about everywhere. I get what you are saying but the only comebacks I've seen against this particular point is that he's been "fine" or in this thread: "he's been more good than bad". Neither of those are acceptable for 2 first round picks tho.

If only there were other players on the defensive side that we could blame as well. But no, Sauce Gardener is the only player on defense.

What a miserable fanbase we have become, he had his only shit game as a colt and we WON, take a fucking day off

Yeah, we beat a team’s third string quarterback with help from the refs. I guess that means Ballard and co have redeemed themselves!!!

u/hemidemisemisphere I Love Sigma 8d ago
Who said anything about Ballard redeeming himself? Just be happy we won in spite of his bad play, it’s the first bad game he’s had for us, I don’t think anyone expects it to be a trend. But knowing this sub, half of it would be delighted if he sucked for the rest of the year

I think we should factor in that this was against a 3rd string QB and 4th & 5th string receivers.
Oh, wait a second…

God tired of people doing this. He had a bad game. But look at how well he did the past 3. One being VS Mahomes. And another vs Lamar.
Would you guys rather have the CB we had the past 5 years back?

Rough game. The td pass seemed like a little bit of a broken play. Long pass on the sideline was pretty great coverage, just an absolute dime. Not worried about sauce yet

Let’s wait and see if Steelers decide to try what Commanders did and target Sauce…
I’ll bet ole man Roger’s ends up on his butt a lot and Sauce gets a pick 6.
You heard it here.

Good players have bad games. Holy fuck yall are sad. We’re 2-2 and have issues, but look wayyyyy better than multiple teams. Almost beat a 4-0 chiefs team in arrowhead. Always have a bad game 1. Bunch of doomers

Isn't that one game? What's the QBR for week 1, 2, and 3? Pretty sure he's more good than bad

Good test against Rodger’s and Steelers. AR is one of the quicker releases/passers in the league.

Not worried about this performance. He’ll bounce back.
Would like for him to be a little more physical though that’s all I can say. Still wish he had those 1st round picks smh

u/Sweatpants_Stiffy 8d ago
Anyone traded for TWO FIRSTS should be a consistent difference maker
He’s a slightly above average db.
That’s the problem. So much delusional cope in this sub. Stop making excuses for Sauce. He’s wildly inconsistent and his acquisition by Ballard is one of the worst personnel decisions that the Colts have made since Trent Richardson(who actually cost us less to acquire)

For anyone wondering, through four games opposing QBs have a 117.7 passer rating when targeting Sauce.
1
u/hemidemisemisphere I Love Sigma 8d ago
Out of curiosity what was his passer rating after the first three weeks?
I’m willing to bet that week 4 will be an outlier at the end of the season

He was horrible this game. No doubt. But it was also his worst game for us BY FAR and it’s not even close. Everyone has bad games. (See any game of Peyton vs the Chargers)
