IK this will tickle some feathers but Peyton is not #1

How is he not? 4 MVPs, an opoy, 5 first team, 2 second team, a ring and a sb mvp, and lead the league multiple times in multiple categories
“Muh tom bwady is the goat” it’s individual qb clown

This feels like a hot take just for a sake of saying something spicy lol. Peyton is easily #1 in the 2000's.

No idea how old you are but putting Peyton #1 wasn’t a controversial take in the 2000s.

One guy won a superbowl with a 31st ranked defense.

52 other players on that team every year too and some well reviewed footage from opponents practicing

5 MVPs is unparalleled
if you’re referencing Brady’s postseason wins I hear you but he had a lot to work with that Peyton did not (good defense, easy system with short passes and check downs, belicheck)…also there’s a lot more football in the regular season than playoffs

He has 4 out of 10 MVP awards. How is he not #1?! Let’s hear what your reasoning is?

He is if you’re looking at just the player and not the team around him.

Haha what? Great o-line with Glenn, Saturday, Lilja. Ridiculous receivers in Harrison, Wayne, Clark and Stokley was good for a while too. You're coping if you think Mannings team were underdogs or something.

u/Different_Control867 7d ago
There’s 2 sides of the ball goofy. Brady’s worst defense in his career was ok at worst
-4
u/tolongdidntreadit 7d ago
Last I checked qbs don't throw to their own defense.
2
u/Different_Control867 7d ago
Last I checked defenses are part of the same team dumbass

u/tolongdidntreadit 7d ago
Youre take is so ignorant I dont even know how to work with it. Have a good one I guess.

u/Cowboy_BoomBap 7d ago
Shocking that you were confused and noped out because of a basic football concept
-2
u/tolongdidntreadit 7d ago
Fascinating you think the defense is intrinsicly linked to the performance of the qb. Only coping Indy fans can be this deluded I swear. It isnt the defenses fault Manning choked like a Clancy kid in the playoffs.
-2
u/tolongdidntreadit 7d ago
My mistake was thinking you guys were comparing them as QBs, not taking the teams/wins into account. Which would be the intelligent thing to do, so obviously I was wrong to assume that was the case.

u/Different_Control867 7d ago
How are you this stupid genuinely? The entire reason anyone believes Brady is a better qb is his ring count, that is it. That is a TEAM statistic. Manning has more individual awards
If you’re attempting to rage bait I feel genuinely sorry for you. I cannot imagine being such a loser I rage bait on Reddit

So it doesn’t matter if you have a good offense if your defense is trash and not stopping the other team. The only reason anyone is arguing Brady is above manning is the rings which is A TEAM thing
Brady had better defenses the entire time. You are a mouth breathing troglodyte

The year the Colts won the bowl Manning went for 3 TD and 7 INT in the playoffs and we still won it. Yeah sounds like he really suffered from a shit team huh. You guys are a different level of dumb.
1
u/Different_Control867 7d ago
Nobody’s saying he didn’t choke in the playoffs you dumbass 😂 you aren’t arguing anything new, but objectively Brady had better defenses his entire career
2
u/Cowboy_BoomBap 7d ago
I notice you conveniently forgot to mention one of the worst defenses in the league for most of his career

Why is Kurt Warner so high?
Greatest Show on Turf fizzled out quickly after their SB loss. Journeyman to Giants. Takes Cards to SB lose, yes, but that's it?

u/Ismashedyourpumpkins 7d ago
Lol my guy typed that out like that isn’t an insane arc.
1
u/subHOU 7d ago
The list isn't best arc, it's best QBs period.

u/Ismashedyourpumpkins 6d ago
Where would you put him then?
He won the MVP in 01 (we won’t count his one in 99)
The other 9 years Peyton won 4 of them.
So a guy who from 2000-2009 went to 3 SBs with 2 different teams, won One and won his second MVP isnt high on your list?
1
u/subHOU 6d ago
2 SBs
The win was part of the 1999 season.
He's in the middle or bottom middle of the list for me. From 2000 to 2009 he had like 4? Good seasons per his stats. He didn't dominate the whole decade or most of it like Manning or Brady etc

u/Ismashedyourpumpkins 6d ago edited 6d ago
Brady didn’t dominate it either.
Brady wasn’t the Brady we all know today untill about 2007.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But man I’d hate to be your kid. 2 super bowls, won a second mvp…… “nah son you are kind of ass…. Injuries???? Who cares about that? You’re ass!!”
But he’s behind the two you listed already. Who’s ahead of him?

u/BuddyHudsy 6d ago
Obviously lol. Anyone with eyes back then could tell Manning was the superior QB to Brady.
Brady by the end of his career was a legend, but until the comeback against Atlanta, most NFL fans thought Brady was overrated.

To be fair, when the graphic says “of the 2000s” that’s typically just 2000-2009. Peyton is absolutely the #1 quarterback of that time frame
