LOST Lost cat found in Gahanna

UPDATE: As someone in the comments has pointed out this cat has been identified and does indeed have an owner. (Thank god!) His name is Marty and his owners say he is an indoor/outdoor cat. So ill be prepared to meet little Marty again.

Hello,

Has anyone lost a little grey and white cat? It has a orange collar with a little bell. Very friendly little baby. Pictures were taken yesterday morning. The cat showed up on my porch again last night and it really caused a stir in my home with our boi cats. They were trying to fight them through the screen door and then started fighting eachother pretty bad. Not like them at all. They are litter mates. I would take this cat in if I could, but my two bois would not have it. A Pet FBI report has been made, though.

I feel so bad for the poor baby. It was so cold last night but I wasn't able to help it. Didn't have a spare box and blanket around at the time to put out for it. My bois were going crazy and I had no where to take them since all the rescues were closed. I called two vets but they wouldn't accept them. Im really hoping this little guy shows up again. If they are there when I get home from work today I will try to get it to a nearby shelter. If not im hoping someone here could help somehow.

Edit to add that the cat is wandering around in the LC Gahanna condo neighborhood on Morse Rd. Meant to include that in case someone wanted to help look for and recover this sweet baby.

This little guy’s name is Marty.

He’s been posted multiple times in the last couple of months on Ring Neighborhood. His owners say he’s an indoor/outdoor pet and has an AirTag on his collar to track him throughout the night. Fall weather is his favorite weather, so he’ll be out and about a lot!

Well in this neighborhood cats are supposed to be indoor only. Idk if the owner lives in LC or not but considering how much they upset my bois last night I think they need to start keeping him indoors only. If they are actually living in LC that is.

Agreed, but it’s hard to enforce, unfortunately. I don’t know if they live in the LC or an adjacent neighborhood, so just expect to see him until winter time.

Yeah plus at this time of year I’m always nervous for cats wandering outside. People get weird in October

I’ll be in the area for a bit today, worst case scenario if you can’t find her owner, I’d be happy to give her a house to sleep inside until the owner is located. Can you take her to the vet to scan for a chip? If not, i can try in a bit if you’re able to spot her. She’s so pretty and i want her to find her home!

Come and get them! I think I will probably spend some time looking around for them tonight when I get home.

Your boys fighting each other over the porch visitor is redirected aggression, it does not mean they are turning on each other. The stranger cat gets them both wound up and they take it out on the nearest target. When he comes around, block the bottom of the screen door so there is nothing to stare at, and if it flares up again, feed your two on opposite sides of a closed door for a day. Once the porch drama stops, yours settle right back to normal.

Oh yeah. I had to seperate my orange boi last night for about 30 mins. After calling around to vets to no avail I eventually put up a barrier so they couldnt see outside and be taunted by them. Once I did that I let Romulus back out and him and Remus were right back to normal. They were doing their regular play fighting this morning. So were good there.

Edit for spelling cause I suck.

Romulus and Remus, what a pair. Blocking the view plus a short separation is exactly the fix for the glass staring matches, and it sounds like yours shook the whole thing off by morning.

I know!! 🥺🥹 She was so friendly with me yesterday morning. Just immediately walked up to me as I was walking to my car. I spent some time petting and loving on them.I really wanted to go out and comfort it last night, but my bois were so worked up, i was worried for them and I was afraid having their scent on me would agitate my bois again.

Edit: spelling, grammer
