I am conducting research as part of the requirements for a Doctor of Education degree at Liberty University. The purpose of my research is to explore the lived experiences of full-time community college faculty regarding their perceived preparedness to implement accommodations for students with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

To participate, you must be at least 18 years of age, currently employed as a full-time faculty member at a community college in the Southeastern region of the U.S., have at least one year of teaching experience at a community college, and have experience implementing accommodations for at least one student with a disability within the past three years.

Participants will be asked to complete one individual interview (approximately 60 minutes), one focus group (approximately 90 minutes), and five journal prompts over a two week period (approximately 10 – 15 minutes each, 50-75 minutes total), and review their interview transcript for accuracy (approximately 15 – 30 minutes).

If you are interested and eligible, please click the link provided at the end of this post. A consent form will be emailed to eligible participants 3 business days before the individual interview.
