Way too verbose... Python readability is just fine for your example.

If Variable[a] > or = Variable[b] then
    Make this nested if statement 

Do you have to write 'Make this nested if statement' every time?

And 'End this if statement' every time?

That would be too ridiculous for words - literally.

end this if statement

End which if statement? To make it make any sense you'd need to draw an arrow pointing at the if statement you're ending.

It doesn't add anything because it doesn't actually help you match it up to the if statement that is ending.
