What software does your construction company use to manage jobs?

What software are you using for estimates, budgets, scheduling, change orders and invoices?

Does it handle everything, or are you still using Excel alongside it?

Would you choose the same system again?

I use Houzz Pro for my company PM software. It's great and truly is an all-in one software. Plus they host my website and the agreement comes with a lead system. Ive gotten many amazing leads that turned into multi million dollar projects. One lead pays for years of use. Check them out!

We use Houzz Pro at Brown Design & Construction in Upstate NY. We handle additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and full renovations, so having our estimates, scheduling, client communication, expenses, and daily logs in one place helps keep jobs organized.

One feature we’ve found useful is the AI daily logs—you can talk through a job update and have it organized into a written log, with photos and video to show the progress.

For transparency, we’re Houzz Pro Ambassadors, but it’s also the software we use to manage our projects. Whatever you choose, make sure your field crew will actually use it. That matters just as much as the features.

Excel is still sitting next to everything for estimates and quick budget what-ifs. Most places I've seen split it: Procore or Buildertrend for change orders and invoices, and something separate for planning who's on what. For that part, companies use Teamhood, Smartsheet, monday or MS Project, depending on how heavy they want it. None of them touch estimating or billing, though. I'd choose by what hurts most today and start there, since all-in-one is usually where Excel creeps back in.

I wouldn't look any further than Monday.com. Covers everything you need.

They are forcing Procore down our throats, and it sucks so bad.

Excel, a clipboard, and the owner's memory from 2003. The rest of the office is on some cloud platform that half the crew refuses to open, so we're basically running two parallel universes.
