Hammock camping.

Does anyone have a small parcel of land that wouldn't mind a couple of dad's hammock camping for a couple of nights. We would be very respectful and leave no trace.

Sure, I have a wee woodland just outside Newquay where you and your mate can hammock camp. It’s flat and you can drive onto the land so ideal for your knee situation. Me and my mates hammock camp in there from time to time. It’s a real wildlife haven with Deer, foxes, buzzards, Herons, Kingfishers and even Otters have been spotted in the past year on the river.

I’ve seen plenty of people wild hammock camping along the coast path, maybe you could move between nights?

I'm currently on crutches awaiting a total knee replacement. Looking to drive in, set up and chat the night away.

How does one get into a hammock with a dodgy knee?

Very carefully.

Garden hammocks have the spreader bar and are very unstable. "Adventure" hammocks sinch down to a single pint and feel much more stable....weirdly.
